To begin, I know my wedding is far away, I have not asked my BP yet, I am not buying gifts yet, this is all theoretical and for planning purposes.
I have a list of who I would like to be my BP, but I know that things change over time. Right now I have my sister, two of my cousins, and an empty spot to even out with FH's 4.
I am starting to draft a list of things I want to include in my bridesmaids gifts, and had some questions.
1) When did you give your BM's their gifts? some people say when you ask, some people say night before at/after rehearsal, some people say after wedding as a thank you, and some people say a little bit of gift at all three! I would like to put together ONE gift box/bag, when would/should I give that to my girls?
2) How much did you spend on each girl? In total? How much did you budget for? I would love to treat them to some nice things like mugs, blankets, and nice picture frames, but the price can quickly add up with bigger items. Right now I am at almost $100 per girl, which adds up to $400 total, is this a good average?
3) Of course the most obvious, what did you gift to your girls? I have thought about: A DVD of the movie "bridesmaids" or another wedding related comedy, A custom picture puzzle of a picture of us (my bridesmaids are family and are big puzzle people), Picture frames, a blanket, a mug, and then some smaller goodies like soaps and candy, "stocking stuffer" sort of stuff.
