Bridesmaids hair up or down?

My wedding is in October, so it won’t be too hot. Was wondering what you all thought looked better? I was never a huge fan of groups wearing their hair up for a photo because the blonde women tend to look bald! But I’m not sure which would be most flattering on them and also go best with my hair. Is a contrast between the bride and bridesmaids better? My hair is the first photo, their dress is the second photo. Should my bridesmaids wear their hair in an up-loose style, or half-up-half-down style?

Hair is something so personal so I would just tell them to pick what they want even if they told you that you should decide. Some of my bridesmaids prefer their hair down because they feel better that way. I prefer up-dos myself if I am in a bridal party because I like the formality. I only ask my bridal party not do half up half down like me. So they can have up-do, down with some braids or twists, down and just curled or something where one side is pulled back, or a low side pony, etc.
