Bridesmaids hair

I’m planning on taking my FH’s last name, but I think it totally depends on your preference and situation! I’m a teacher and trying to have kids say the two last names hyphenated would be a pain (too long together). If you do something that your name makes a difference in identifying you or you have a real sentimental attachment, go for it!

I don’t think they should have the same hairstyle. Everyone knows what makes them feel pretty and everyone has different lengths and textures of hair. I would say let them do what they like.

Everyone having the same hairstyle is a very dated look. It’s what I used to see when I was younger. Now, brides generally want to have some individuality and uniqueness to their wedding, and by allowing bridesmaids to choose their own hairstyle is an easy way to do so. It also eliminates the drama and argument of how to make different peoples hair look the same.

No, I feel like the identical dress & hair look is outdated. Let ‘em wear their hair however they wish.

I agree with you. I hate the "bridesmaids robot" look. There is no way one hairstyle, makeup look, jewelry, shoes look great on a bunch of different women. I let my bridesmaids pick their own hairstyle, makeup shoes, jewelry and dress (I told them a color, fabric & length) and I think they all looked stunning.

I think it's completely up to you! It really depends on the overall look you are going for, and kinda how you want your pictures to look. I'm currently torn between matching hair or different hair because my girls are all wearing different color different floral printed dresses, so I'm struggling with if their hair should tie the looks together or if their hair should also be different! Their shoes & accessories (necklace, earrings, bouquets) will all be the same so I don't know.

I think they should pick what they want! The last wedding I was in, every bridesmaid had their hair up except for one. The hair stylist kind of looked at her funny because she got her hair done last and said she didnt want it up! But we all thought she looked gorgeous, and at the end of the day, people won’t be pointing that kind of stuff out. They’re there for you and your significant other!
