Bridesmaids jewelry as a thank you gift

Cheree , on June 5, 2018 at 12:41 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 27
I’m looking for jewelry for my girls to give to them as a thank you and to wear in the wedding. Does anyone recommend any sites or places that I can get 6 sets of earrings and necklaces, For a decent price and nice quality that’s not gonna take a chunk of my bank account?

Try a department store like Macy's. They have so many coupons and deals you might be able to get a good price.

Kohl's usually has sets for decent prices and you can almost always find a coupon!

Be prepared, most people here are going to tell you that jewelry is a prop for your photos and not a gift. Personally, that's been my gift in 2 separate weddings and I love it much better than the other gifts I've received. I looked on Amazon and ultimately got some nice pieces on Groupon. Lab created sapphires set in 14k gold plated. Earrings and a necklace. My girls don't know what their getting yet.

They guys all got nice Adidas sneakers to wear instead of dress shoes. They already have them when we delivered their suits a free months ago. They are thrilled to have a nice pair of shoes they'll be comfortable in the day of and have after.

I wanted to do this too. I found some surprisingly reasonable 3 piece bridal jewelry sets on Amazon. Along with the jewelry I'm also getting the girls mesh totes with their names on them from Etsy.

Etsy has some cute jewelry. Not sure if you need to get both, earrings or a necklace is a nice gift. My friend gave us earrings for her wedding and I appreciated having matching jewelry.

I’d be careful. “Here, have this thing I bought you, but you have to wear it” isn’t really a gift in my opinion. I’d at the very least supplement with something not wedding related as a gift.

I supported a small business and bought super cute bracelets from Col de Mar. they don’t have matching earrings but the bracelets are amazing. I personally have small wrists and most normal sized bracelets don’t fit me but hers do because you measure the wrist. I have many colors! She’s really sweet and gave me a discount for buying multiple for my bridesmaids. Highly recommend this business. Good luck!

I got matching necklaces for my girls (who also happen to be my daughter and step-daughter-to-be) and me from Swarovski. Three crystal butterflies on a rose gold chain. Beautiful AND sentimental. And not way too expensive for quality jewelry. They have some really pretty sets as well, if you wanted to get earrings, too.

And I totally disagree with the "wedding jewelry is not a gift" notion. Every wedding I've been in the gift has been jewelry and I think it's a lovely gesture and practical keepsake. Just my two cents.

Maybe try finding jewelry for the person that they can wear on the day but don’t all match each other. Target has had some nice earrings recently. I personally have never worn jewelry I was given as a bridesmaids outside of the wedding.

Dreamland jewelry. I've have ordered a few times from them and their quality is amazing!!! I'm ordering earrings for bridesmaids and myself but they can be worn after the wedding. It doesn't tarnish at all, I've had my jewelry from them about 2 years now

I don’t think jewelry for your wedding is a gift. If you must, atleast get them other things in addition to this that are not uniform, shop like it’s their birthday.

I think jewelry is fine if you shop for each bridesmaid taking their likes and dislikes into consideration. If you just plan on getting the same set for everyone you risk giving someone jewelry they won't wear. A lot of people don't wear gold, silver, or rose gold. Also, some people don't wear necklaces, bracelets, or earrings (or they already have one they wear daily and any additional won''t be worn).

I know it's easier and seems cute to get matching jewelry for each member of the bridal party but I think it's more considerate to buy items that match what they like and would wear after the wedding.

I personally hate to receive jewelry as a gift. I'm allergic to everything except for 14k yellow or rose gold or Sterling silver (but it can't be the type that is tarnish free). So unless I know exactly what it is I'm never going to wear it and either give it away or throw it away. And most people won't spend the money on the good stuff.

Jewelry for the wedding and robes for getting ready aren't really gifts. They are props for your photos. I already have received several robes from weddings. Most I've seen on here are cheap and short. Those go straight into the donation bag. The same for the cheap jewelry that's not my style. Gifts should be selected for each friend based on their likes and dislikes, not a mass purchase of the same things for each BM.
