Bridesmaids of different sizes

So I have several different bridesmaids and they are all different sizes.

Two are plus sized (size 14-16 gorgeous), one is tiny (size 0 petite) and the other three are average human size (size 6 maybe).

These ladies are busty so strapless is not exactly a good option, but budget is definitely a factor. I would like to keep the dresses under $100 or very very close to $100. I may have to buy the dresses for two of my bridesmaids because they are always struggling financially.

So how do I find a dress that fits all their body types? I can't seem to find one dress which comes in a size 0-16. I want them all to feel beautiful in their dresses. Do I need to ask all of them to take a day off of work and go dress shopping?

0-16 are normal sizes. I just ordered my dresses this weekend and they told me that sizes 0-16 were the same price, sizes 18-24 had a slight charge.

As for style, either let them pick their own dress in your color, or ask their opinion. I sent my girls 5 different styles and told them they could pick any of those styles and literally every single one of them picked the same style. I didn't do strapless because I have some large chested bridesmaids. It was also important to me that they were able to wear a normal bra. This is the dress we ended up with.

My bridesmaids are all very different sizes. So I actually let them pick out their own dresses. I told them what I wanted (floor-length chiffon, flowy, ethereal) and we all went together to a bridal shop to look. They each ended up picking a beautiful dress that they felt comfortable in, and that gave them more control over the price too.

I attached a picture of the dresses they chose, in the wrong colors. I ended up choosing the color for each girl--varying shades of purple. I LOVE the mix-match dress look for bridesmaids, and I'm really excited to see them all in their dresses on the big day!

You could just give them a color and material and let them pick out their own dresses. This way, each girl has something that they feel comfortable in

Have you looked in to convertable dresses? Depending on what style you want there are multiple sellers on etsy.

They could pick their own dresses completely or you could let them pick their own style of dress. I did the latter and it worked out perfectly for my girls. My bridesmaids ranged from size 2 to 16, 5' to 5'10", and A cups to over DDD. Three of them happened to choose the same neckline, but there were more options.

The dresses are from JCrew, which I believe is having a sale right now. They got theirs on a fantastic sale.

ETA: One of them ended up being 5 months pregnant. I think the empire style helped fit her baby bump a bit.

David's Bridal had a great range of dresses and sizes for my girls. They are all different body types and heights, yet we managed to find something in their price range that they were all comfortable in.

Mine are all different body types too. I went shopping with 3 and let them pick whatever they were comfortable in so long as they sort of matched. Those 3 ended up with different dresses that I sent to the other 2 to let them pick from. I also told the other 2 that they could go with something else, just let me know before ordering. I think it looks better if everyone's relaxed and comfortable rather than stuck wearing a style they're not confident in.

All my BMs were different sizes, one was 7 months pregnant at the wedding. They chose a dress that had an empire waist (which worked out perfectly for the pregnant BM). That style complimented everyone's figures.

The dress was from DB. The original price was $160 but because I had purchased my dress from there, they paid $140.

This is exactly why I didn't try to put all of my BMs into the same style dress.

I have one tall and very skinny girl who is going to be 6 months pregnant at the wedding, one short and very skinny girl, one short and apple shaped, and one tall and apple shaped. So not a single dress would be a one style fit all. I just told them the color, length, and no satin to get at David's Bridal and they all picked and chose which dress they liked and what fit their budget.

So really, they are going to have VERY similar dresses on, just different necklines essentially. I'm really glad that this is the new trend and that the exact match dress trend is dying out. It looks great when it works out, but you kind of have to have all BMs be the same shape, etc. to pull it off I feel. To me, having my BMs feel beautiful and comfortable trumped having exact dress for pictures. If you can manage to get a dress all of your ladies like and feel great in, awesome. If you continue running into issues where one girl feels like she looks frumpy or sausaged into particular styles, best advice I can offer is to loosen the reigns.

It is possible to have girls in the same dress that are all over the place. I had 8 girls starting from 5'1'' to 5'10''. Some of the girls are busty and some aren't. I took 6 of the 8 out and they tried on dresses and picked it themselves. I just kind of let them go with whatever they wanted. I really wanted them to wear the same but if it didn't work I was willing to let them change. Thankfully they all tried on and loved this dress.

I uploaded the girls in the dress and then the actual online version. I believe the dress was $150.

I also agree with using Azazie! That is what I am doing and my girls also range from size 0-16. So many choices with tons of $99 dresses.

David's Bridal worked best for my BMs (all different sizes). They found a lot more options than Alfred Angelo and actually all ended up loving the same dress (although I wasn't requiring them to wear the same dress). It worked out well.

If you're worried, just go to David's, pick a color/material, and have them pick a style they look good in.

This is my group. (Me in the middle.) two very busty, one plus size, three "average human size" (LOL). We went with 3 different navy blue chiffon dresses from the same designer. It just worked out that 2 girls chose each dress. I don't have pics in the actual dresses yet.

I think 12-16 is more average human size. But i have the same problem in my bridal party very different body types. David's Bridal has huge variety in sizes... Most bridal boutiques by me have plus size bridesmaids dresses as well.

I just ran into the same problem. I originally wanted short dresses but because one of my bridesmaid is a little bigger every short dress she tried on was showing her butt or extremely close to showing it. The other one, short wasn't working for, because she has a bigger middle section and it was causing the length to be shorter in the front.

So I told them to find a dress that they felt comfortable being in and that it would be ok as long as it was the color I wanted. It took them forever to find one. My gosh! I was more stressed for them than I was myself looking for dresses. They chose this type of dress for their body type.

We did one style which coincidentally fit all of my girls. 2 are petite and tiny, one is busty and about my size and then my SIL was 6 months pregnant! The dresses covered what they needed while still being gorgeous.

I would say if they aren't comfortable with their top (busty like myself) maybe try mix and match within the same color.

I have the same issue, I'm just going to have them wear the same color and they can wear different styles that flatter each body type
