It's not necessary. You can even skip the proposal boxes for a big wedding not in a courthouse. Just ask them privately over coffee or whatever fun get together you have individually. That way, they potentially don't toss out expensive stuff that isn't their style and they aren't pressured to say yes. But do what works for you.

You should do it however you’d like to. Your venue or wedding size doesn’t determine how you ask them

It's your special day! You can do whatever you want If you want to create a proposal gift for your girls you most definitely can.

Completely unnecessary. You wouldn't have a bridal party if you get married at the courthouse.

You should do absolutely whatever you want! If it were me, I would probably still want to ask my girls, but it isn't a must. I think it would be really sweet to still ask and include them as if you were having a big wedding. I would love that if I were a friend of someone having a courthouse wedding!

How fun!! A lot of my friends who got married in small ceremonies are still having receptions and bridesmaids. Just because the ceremony is different, you can still have bridesmaids, take pictures, do boxes, etc.!
