Hey ladies! So I keep seeing bridesmaids robes every time I go on ETSY and really like them and thought they'd be a nice addition to the bags im making for my ladies. But then I keep reading how many perceive these as not gifts but just so u can get pretty pics. Not true I didn't even think of that...

But then I keep reading how many perceive these as not gifts but just so u can get pretty pics. Not true I didn't even think of that firstly I thought about there hair and makeup getting messed up and was going to be considerate. So with that said I know they can get pricey anyone found any good deals or did any DIY?

I'm getting mine from Etsy and they are a floral print. I was in 2 wedding that gave a solid color monogrammed robe and I never use them. I don't even know where they are. I feel like the floral prints mine be used again and they are really pretty! And I'll bring mine on the honeymoon!

I wanted to do robes but then my FH sister did them for her wedding, and yes this was our gift. It was monogrammed. They were the waffle ones and I just couldn't wear it while we were getting ready it was sooo hot. Also we took the pic with them on with our heels and our dresses on which you could see underneath. After seeing this I rethought and decided not to do them, also I have already bought everything else for them. If you do robes and your area is hot please consider the lighter ones, I just couldn't do it.

I got them, but also reminds me I need to call them. I got them from JC Penny's and they shorted me 2 robes and forgot to call them!

I do now think after all the comments that i may not have embroidery done on them. It is costly and knowing my sister's they'd probably yell at me the money I spent on something stupid lol but w that said I live in Florida but having a November wedding so weather should be cooler no matter what im hoping

I got mine on amazon for the girls and did not personalize with their names or "Bridesmaid"... they loved them and I gave it to them as part of a surprise "girls night in" photoshoot.

Link to the robe I ordered.... came quick, great quality and cheap Smiley smile

Someone here bought from the etsy seller ComfyClothing and had a good experience. I agree that robes are nice gifts if it doesn't have any monograms or "bridesmaid" on them. I'm doing this and going to let my ladies pick whatever pattern they like best

Mine are on my way from weddingprep gals.

I think you need to know your girls. All my girls are mom's who probably haven't spent a dime on anything "me" in a long time (myself included!) and they are all the PJ/robe type. Infact I've gotten my MOH several robes for winter over the years because it's what she's asked for!

I've monogrammed theirs on the front with their first initial. Mine is the only one with a name and it will say "mrs ----" on the back. I also got my flower girl and my 2 year old their own.

I know my girls will like them! I've seen a lot of other gift ideas on here that I know would be useless for my BP but are probably perfect for them (tote bags for example - my girls all carry diaper bags! Those tote bags would just get stuffed in a closet haha.)

I steered clear of anything clothing related simply because I didn't know all of my girl's sizes. I didn't want to get a robe that was too big (and then they felt fat) and then I didn't want to get a robe that was too small (and, again, they'd feel felt).

Personally, let me get ready in whatever I want to get ready in. I was the only one who had anything customized on and it was because one BM is super DIY/crafty.

I'd skip the robes, but that's just my opinion.

I just ordered mine from Wedding Prep Gals, I ordered their robes with their first inital embrodered in the front and mine with "Wifey" on the back. I am also ordering them flip flops that match and also match their dresses. It is a nice addition in my case since we will all be getting ready together on the Estate Cottage House. I know that they are going to love this inside their gift tote bags. As a bonus, they can wear the robes again and again.

I'm sure this has been said before in this thread, but I wouldn't personalize them with anything that says BRIDESMAID or has your wedding date on it...if I got one as a bridesmaid for a gift, it would be worn that day only and found in the Good Will donation pile shortly (and this goes for ANY bridesmaid gift). If you're set on personalizing something, use their names or initials

Yes, robes are very nice for the brides, and for all the relatives. At etsy you could get them, but I think you can get a really good deal at stores on amazon. Depending on your taste you can either buy kimono robes or bridal robes(with or without monogram on them).

If you want to buy kimonos, you SHOULD visit HERE. You will find the top 5 ranked kimono robes on amazon.

If you want terry cloth, satin, silk or any other type of bride robes, you MUST click HERE. You will find the BEST robes on the market and you will have a good idea of what works and what doesn't by reading feedbacks.

Hope you all enjoy your weddings.

    CHEERS, Ariel
