My bridesmaids are wearing a long dress and we've started thinking about shoes. Did you have your bridesmaids wear matching shoes even though you might not see them?
If plum or eggplant is your color I think they should wear black. Whether you want them to wear a sandal/open toe, flat or pump is really up to you. If you have a really tall bm or a really short bm you might want to have them wear an appropriate height to look good for pictures?
My color is plum and I'm really short, so none of them are wearing heels I'm just thinking about whether I want them to wear all the same shoes or shoes of their choosing! I was thinking either black or tan/nude for whatever we end up doing!
I think black shoes will be to dark because the dress color is already dark. My Bridesmaids will not match dresses or shoes I gave them freedom to choose and I am paying for them too so they don't have to be stress out.
I am really tall and have no arch so I wear special shoes (especially for events where I'm standing) I am always a fan of brides that pick a color but allow for everyone to pick their own shoes so I can be comfortable!
I told my girls to wear whatever shoe and whatever color, their dresses are long so really won't be seen and once drinking and dancing comes into play they'll probably kick them off anyway or wear flip flops
Brianna are you doing matching shoes for them? Check DSW store or Macy's. My girls getting silver and they are free to pick what they want and like as long is silver, 2 of my girls already got their shoes, Macy's and the other in Nordstrom, but those colors you can find anywhere.
Another color I think will be beautiful is pink blush or nude , since they don't want silver, as a preference I never wear black shoes with another dark color, only black and black together.
It sounds like just asking them to chose a shoe in the same color would work well I'll probably go with nude or champagne since the dress is dark and my bridesmaids don't want silver!
I havent picked my BM dresses yet but I plan on just asking them to wear a nude color shoe. Our venue is in the summer and the ceremony is outside so whether they wear a Sandal or pump is really up to them so long as they're all nude!
I think it is ridiculous to make them wear exactly the same shoe. Especially with a long dress where no one will notice them or even be able to see them. You can choose a color but let them choose their own shoe so it's comfortable.
Mine have long wine colored dresses and I'm having them have matching silver shoes from David's bridal

My girls are wearing whatever shoes they want. I asked that they agree on either black or nude. I don't care if it's high heel or flats, but I let them know that I am wearing flats since we will be in the grass. They ended up picking nude.
Our bridesmaids wore the same color/length from DB! I asked for black, closed toe shoes because it's definitely a shoe they'll wear again. Black is classic and formal, so you can't go wrong there.
I dislike the "nude" look since nude is different for everyone. It's impossible to get two tan shoes in the same shade that looks good on everyone's skin tone.
But honestly, there was so much more going on that morning that I have no clue what they wore. They could've been barefoot for all I know! You'll be focused on more important things, so just let them be comfortable
I also wanted to pick their shoes because I wanted the heel height to not be taller than mine so they aren't towering over me during pictures hah

I was recently in a wedding and honestly have absolutely no idea what the other bridesmaids shoes looked like, and I was with them all day, including when we all got dressed. If I didn't know or notice, no one else did either.
I told mine to pick whatever they wanted, preferably in a neutral like grey/silver, gold, or nude, because black and especially white would look weird with the dress color.
