I'm not having any bridesmaid but as a plus sized woman, I promise you I would be quite concerned about being in a wedding. In fact, it's taking me forever to find my own dress to elope in. Maybe use the same color but different dresses. They can show their personalities and cover the challenging body parts at the same time. Best of luck!

Make if fun! All my bridesmaids got the same color, same fabric, same length just different styles. I've actually ALWAYS wanted to do that at my wedding regardless of who was in it. I always hated the idea of everyone wearing the same exact dress. I want them to be able to accentuate their favorite feature....

Just lay some parameters though... if you use Davids bridal (like I did) maybe pick a collection you like and let them choose, that way the dresses have a similar style to them) or if you use a site like Azazie give specifics like fabric, length, and color. I think it will be beautiful! And less stress on you having to hear everyone's opinions Smiley smile

I had a lot of issues with bridesmaid dresses due to having one new mumma, one plus sized pregnant moh (who lives abroad so couldn't even try her dress on!) and then my super slim sister by contrast lol.

I ended up using those infinity dresses that are one size fits most (they fit up to about a UK 22) but they also have a larger size available. They can be tied in a broad variety of ways which enables everybody to kinda look matching, but wear a style that suits them.

My bridesmaids all have different body types so I chose to let them pick a neck and waistline from an assortment that I preferred and all of the same color. If they found one they absolutely loved, I would look at it and see if it fit the venue (ie I excluded ones with big leg slits due to formality). I think they enjoyed having a say in their dress and are probably more likely to wear it again for an event in the future. But more than that, they all get to feel beautiful in their choices

Damn, is this a common thing? I have a lot of bridesmaids with different skin tones, body types and ages, so it's been an issue alright. We were struggling to find the right color for a little while. I was thinking this pale pink shade, but it washes a few of my bridesmaids out. Then we all decided on gold because it flatters both pale and dark skin tones. There were issues with the silhouettes too. I was thinking more of a satin slip dress, but then I decided on my dress and the dress code, to satin slips would be too informal compared to my dress. I eventually decided on ballgown/a-line because mermaid style was too tight and other ones looked odd on most of my bridesmaids. Then one of my bridesmaids complained about sleeves because she thinks her arms looked "flabby" in short sleeve/sleeveless. And another one complained that she was cold because she is always cold. We eventually decided on gold, ballgown/a-line, mid length sleeve gowns. But the struggle is real. Sending good thoughts. Smiley heart
