Bridesmaids

I think you should follow your first mind. If 4 is what you want then go for it. It’s your day! My ideal # is 5 & I’m leaving it at 5!

See I really wanted to have an event number.

I didn’t want too many bridesmaids, I have 6 total. Two are my cousins who I grew up with and the other 4 are my best friends for 15+ years. I also have another friend who I’ve been friends with for that long, but because she lives far we kind of stopped talking and I didn’t know if should have made her a bridesmaid. Either way, I wanted an even amount of girls. I’m also paying for hair and makeup and presents so the more girls the more money.

I only chose my nearest and dearest friends! For me it was about quality, not quantity

The numbers of bridesmaids depend on you. Like many people mentioned, you choose the girls you can't imagine walking down the aisle without. I wanted 6, but 1 girl doesn't want to be my BM, so I will have 5. These 5 includes my sister, FH sister, and 3 of my friends that I have known for over 10 years. I love them all, and I can't wait to have them by my side. Those are also the girls that I want to have in my pictures.

I for whatever reason always envisioned an odd number aha. No particular idea why to be honest. Aha.

You don't have to have more than what you have unless you choose to the less the better sometimes but I have 5 and 2 jr bridesmaids

I added them cuz they are his niece & daughter but 2 young. Some ppl have them some dont

You choose based on who you feel you really want standing with you. Don't let your family pressure you or make you second guess yourself on who you want or how many you want by your side. This is you and your fiance's wedding, you guys are paying for it, they get no final say so. I chose the women who have been with me through thick and thin, in my most dire times and my triumphant times. I stuck to who I wanted and my wedding was absolutely perfect.

Any more than a few is a financial burden. If you can pull it off, great. If you can’t, don’t sweat it. Ultimately you decide how many and who will be the chosen ones. Don’t let anyone bully you into adding more girls or picking certain people. This is about who you want standing up with you on your big day and who you want to honor as your nearest and dearest. Stand your ground!

I’ve always just kinda had “my older sister, two close friends and FH sister” in mind. I’ve always dreamt about my siblings being in my wedding and we are fortunate enough to have that happen. My three brothers are going to be his groomsmen and then he’s got a good buddy that is his best man. So, 4 on each side.

I decided to have zero bridesmaids. I refuse to choose between my friends and it eliminates costs, drama and stress.
