So I've been watching Bridezilla lately and honestly can't believe some brides act like that. How many of you brides are bridezillas? I for one am not lol

@shirlden I know! The whole rsvp thing is annoying me my due date is feb. 20th and I still have aboutn30 invites out there! Like hello I want to start the seating chart already! Every time my fh asks his friends if they received the invite (a few people told me they didn't) they're always like yeah idk if im coming I have to see if im working and I don't have any money. Like really? Request the day off and show up! You don't need money to attend the wedding everything is already paid for! And its not like they work in big jobs they're part time with like 15 hours a week

Now that the wedding is over my friends and family say that I handled everything well and I wasn’t a bridezilla. I carried a lot of internal stress on myself though. If they got inside my head and saw what I was thinking and felt what I was feeling, they might retract their statement, haha. That’s how I am in life though. I don’t take things out on people I take them out on myself my stressing, analyzing, and over-thinking.

I never did like that show because it reinforces the stereotypical belief and mindset that it's the "bride's day" when, in fact, there is a groom that is getting married that day as well.

However, I have not been called a bridezilla bc I really haven't been one. I try to keep things in perspective.

I'm the exact same way @lindsay.

@JG I just started watching it because I finished all the other wedding shows Smiley sad lol I really can't stand how these girls keep saying "I don't need you there. I'll marry my damn self." Like really? It takes two to have a wedding.

Morgan, I watched every season (DVR) and Suzy was merely a whiny brat. Believe me, there have been MUCH worse depicted on the show. While I am certain most "play up" the behavior for the cameras but there has been fallout for a few brides (like the bride that set her FSIL's shoes on fire, she was already on probation for anger issues and ended up in jail).

FH has already told me if I start acting like a bridezilla, he is pulling the plug on the wedding and we will be eloping.

I've only seen a couple episodes, those women are ridiculous! So far, I'm not a bridezilla, but I still have 7 months to go! My sister was a total bridezilla.. really bad!

I was told by everyone I was too calm. Lol. I played it in my head as a family thing... But a little nicer. I am very independent so I had no demands for help, everyone kind of volunteered their help for things here and there.

I had no intention to have some over the top event, just say our vows, dance, have awesome cake and food and enjoy time as family and friends! Sounds crazy I'm sure but I stress out too easy normally. I still get compliments on the wedding and how well everything went Smiley smile

The stress set in on the day of when my sister called and said she was lost. I was about in tears so dad took the phone and she was there in like 5 mins bawling her eyes out because she thought she was going to ruin things... She stresses more than I do....

Its alright though, because both of us were bawling our eyes out as I walked down the aisle, I don't think anyone knew it started before I started walking. Hahaha.

The day before the wedding my MIL asked how I was getting there. I said well I have a car and so do the girls and she goes you cannot drive in your dress FIL will pick you up in the GTO. Hahahaha that's how laid back I was with all of it... Didnt even put thought into how to get there.

I have been watching on Netflix. Suzy is by far the best one yet. She is FUCKING NUTS. The youngest ones seem to be the craziest! That girl who had the theme of "bro ho"... She was fucking nuts, too!! Just crazy! I seriously like, shudder at some of the things the girls say and do. One of the girls was so mean to a girl in her wedding party- her bridesmaid's name was Candice, that is all I can remember- and her wedding planner, too. I just felt TERRIBLE for them. Horrible, horrible human beings.

@futuremrsd I COULD NOT stand the bro ho one! She was absolutely digusting. She was only 19 and getting drunk off her ass at her wedding. How is that? Show is so fake but so entertaining to watch. and yes the one with the bridesmaid Candice was horrible! I felt so bad for Candice.

Also- I too have made it to Bridezillas on Netflix because I have buzzed through every other wedding related show. Sad? Perhaps. I am not ashamed.

I couldn't even finish watch the second part of Suzy and that other cray bitch. I'm really laid back and I cannot see myself getting to crazy. If I do I asked my mom to promise to snap me out of it, but that is very unlikely to happen.

@JC - I always seem to get snappy when we are on our way to our venue to finalize something because I want to pay them off and he wants to give them like $100 and wait last minute to pay them. So I start yelling because it makes me stressed waiting till 10 days before the wedding to pay everything. He just sits there and lets me yell lol Once we leave I'm always in a better mood.

I watched half of one episode and quit. It was too unpleasant to enjoy watching.
