Has anyone else seen this show? I have a hard time believing that this isn't staged. Some of these girls are so outrageous. I don't even know how their FH's deal with them. FH has been calling me a bridezilla because I have a very clear idea of how I want to decorate at the reception; I am a perfectionist, I can't help it! He watched an episode with me the other night and said "Wow, honey, I am so glad you are not like that. I take back the Bridezilla comment." But seriously, are these women for real?

@Brianna -- haha! Maybe they didn't realize it was going on TV? C'mon, folks!

I mean, they definitely cut out parts to exaggerate certain things, but if you are screaming like a lunatic, you definitely can't say it was made up!

@Tami -- For realzzz. I don't understand why the BMs always take it. I'd be like peace out, b.

OMG Brianna, I JUST saw the one where the girl broke the xbox. What a jerk!

I only watch it if I'm flipping channels and it catches my eye. H totally got sucked in to an episode the other day and asked me to look up how they cast the show. Apparently you can nominate yourself or someone else, and the website states that brides are "well compensated" for appearing on the show.

Some of them seem like they're hamming it up for the camera but others just seem like mean, horrible people - like the rich girl who yelled at people for being "8.00 an hour losers". I had to change the channel after five minutes of her.

Bridezillas are ridiculous. With working in customer service for so long, I can't tell you how many times I've had people throw hissy fits that rival a toddler over the most trivial things. FH doesn't put up with any bullshit from anybody and the "bridezilla" thing definitely wouldn't fly with him. Amanda, I've seen the show too and I agree with you completely that bridezillas you described were absolutely horrendous. There was one bridezilla Dawn that made me wanna slap her so hard. She was forcing her FH through exercises to get in shape for the wedding (because she thought he was a slob) while she's noshing on junk food (and she was the slob!).

Yeah they are still married, and calmed down alot...i think the situation just brings out the worst in people, so while the family pretty much always acts like that, its not REALLY as bad as the show makes it out to be lol

Its funny this post came up because just last night we were watching it (it sucks you in!!) and we said either its staged (I get it, its for entertainment!) or the guys are really stupid.

Did you see the new one this week with the groom that took his wife aside when the minister asked if he took her as his wife? He took her aside for revenge! That's a great start to a marriage if I've ever seen one...

Courtney you bring up a good point - it's not always the brides that are zillas in that show! I saw one episode where the groom left the bride at the altar. Another time the groom's mom showed up to start a fight and boo during the ceremony. And there was one episode where a BM was constantly late to everything and never apologized - like, she offered to help the bride with something but was 2 hours late and said it was b/c she stopped for a booty call with some random dude. Unbelievable!

Even I might go 'zilla on some of that ish. Smiley smile

I know they get paid. I went on wetv website to see if I could sign up for the David tutera show (they weren't taking applications Smiley sad) and saw the ad that was asking people to sign up for bridezillas. They said they will get well compensated for it. So I think the outrageous stuff is for show, but they are most likely like that anyways.

I've seen a couple of brides here who could compete with those. And a couple that made me think "Their poor FH, what did he get himself into..."

I just think "wow" I think my friends would punch me in the face if I talked to them like these girls to...

That Karen girl was NUTS! and the girl with the cake was out of her mind!

I told one of my friends that I was going to need to a whistle, because one of the Zillas had one blowing it to get her BP in order... My friend told me that I needed to discount my cable, LOL

A friend of a friend went on the show to pay for her wedding. They told her to act out a bit and everything was staged. Then they completely edited the staged footage to make her look even worse. I'm sure some of those women may be a little crazy IRL, but I also assumed everyone knew reality shows were always staged. It's not a documentary...

I've just caught up on the latest Bridezillas and cannot believe how disrespectful these girls are! I hope it is staged! I would never dream of treating my in-laws or anyone they way they do! I love my FIL's and they deserve respect. They raised the man I am marrying!

I LOVE when they give the girls the red eyes and slow down their speech. It's hilarious!

The one that was on Sunday was crazy.. That Marlena and her family was just crazy. Her sister was just, um.. WOW! I thought it was kinda funny that Jose pulled her aside.

Although, I keep wondering how they can show the ones that are 19 (like the Trisha girl, you know the one that is 19 anded a bros&brohos wedding, lol) drinking. Clearly states during the show that they are 19...

oh! The one this week, that I couldn't hardly watch was the Suzy kid.. OMGosh. She needs some pills or something. My mother would have slapped me in the face every time I would have spoken to her like she did her mother.

I'm sitting here watching it now. It's so........un-b-leev-a-bull, how these so called" women" act. Scratch that. Did I say women? I prefer tramps. The only one I actually liked, was the blonde who married the dutch guy. She was the only one who pretty much kept her cool. I think it is just insane. I would never treat my girls like that. My wedding is Feb 8, 2015. Being on a Sunday evening, I expect no problems. My only concern is being time managing, & that the colors match as far as the ceremony party. I know everyone has to be at work the next day, but if some choose to ask for the following Monday off, more power to them. I'm not going to order my people around. I don't even choose to use the word "maid" so instead of bridesmaid, I choose to use bridal assistants. They are assisting me. Not running around like headless chickens. Anyone who seriously acts like these crazy girls on this show, needs to get a reality check. You want a successful wedding, start getting ready a year in advance. That's what I did. I'm already half way done. Come August, it's crunch time. Smiley laugh
