Bridezilla's on Wedding Wire...

Bethyonce, on February 12, 2015 at 5:36 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 29

While trolling through the posts today, I started thinking about some of the outlandish things that the girls on the show Bridezilla had put their FH's and bridal parties through. I then started imagining the reactions of those brides if they were to post one of their complaints/requests on here. Nothing super special, just thought it'd have been funny.

I can't forget the one where she was rude to the flower lady, and she didn't show up to the wedding. She was blond, tall and slim, and was taking how if she show's up, she'll shove the flowers up her arse, while keeping an eye on the door in case she came. I wasn't sorry for her, as she was a real "lady dog."

I only got through maybe 2 episodes of that show- it gave me nightmares!

but I've wondered the same thing. wonder what the responses would be if you got a group of actual brides talking to some of these women.

I always think of the one's that force their bridal party to work out in some random park, pick up their laundry, bring them food and laugh. It is the worst approach to any relationship, let alone the people you ask to stand beside you on the best day of your life. The funniest part would be to see the reactions on the other side of the computer with all of these ridiculous posts.

Oh lord those women are awful. The one that scarred me forever is Jeanine- the girl who last three episodes and her husband threw his ring back at her during the reception.

These are the ones I remember:

The girl in California (can't remember the city) but she went to see about her cake. The baker showed her what they agreed on and she went ballistic and put her hand through a cake

The bride's family didn't want her to marry her husband and were not shy about saying it. He stood her up and took her car. He later called her and they went to Vegas and got married

I watched just about every episode and a lot of them made me wonder who would actually marry these women? I remember all those brides, here's one that goes back to about season 3. The bride gets into it with the groom on the way to the rehearsal and tells him she won't marry him. They outran the camerascancel but the mics stayed on (there was video of the back of their car) and the groom was sobbing so hard you couldn't make out what he was saying. It went on for at least 20 minutes. The end of that season was a 3 parter with two grooms. One of the grooms was beyond crazy. Some of his antics were screaming into the camera "Give me my day!!", curling in a ball crying on the shower floor and freaking out because his food was cold and champagne wasn't the right temperature and freaking out on the planner before she could fix it (he favorite thing to say was " Erica now! Get me Erica now! - that was the name of his planner).

I remember the one and only episode I've ever watched - a couple was arguing before the wedding about some family members that showed up, then as well at the reception. Think they got divorced the same day as the wedding, lol. The only other thing I remember was that the bride left her own reception and went to the bus stop

Oh yes I used to watch this. My step son watch parts of about 2 episodes and looked at me and says " Thank you for not being that crazy!" That Karen girl in NY who was so nasty to the doorman was the worst, oh and the one who saw imaginary spots on her wedding dress, and then proceeded to wash it in the bath tub!

Please tell me someone remembers the episode where the bride had her pet squirrel as one of the groomsmen, complete with little camo tux vest. They sent there invites out week of the wedding, ordered food for around 100 people and then were pissed that only 6 or so showed up.

I believe a lot of them are actually fake. I remember looking up one that was too outlandish. It was one where a woman was marrying a much older man, she was a virgin, and I can't remember what actually made her so outlandish, but....I googled it and it turned out she had been married before. I think I was trying to find out if these people made it past the first year. I think it's creative editing and women being told to play up the crazy.

We have encountered some bridezillas, though, if you look at it through the lens of out of context fights. Some people, here, aren't very good at communicating effectively what's really going on, so it looks crazy and bridezilla.

This is not the direction I thought this thread was going to go. :p

I'm with Janeen... those women are too nuts to be real. I've only watched a couple of episodes and I was done. I have too much crazy in my life to invite more in!

@Janeen, I remember her, but I think she mentioned at one point in the episode that the reason they split up was because she was afraid to have sex, and he wanted to be able to have that type of relationship with his wife.

ETA I could be wrong, I just feel like they may have mentioned her marriage/divorce in the episode at some point.

I remember one episode in which an Oklahoma bride decided to have an outdoor, late afternoon wedding during tornado season. Everyone told her that this wasn't a great idea, but if she absolutely HAD to have an outdoor wedding/reception, she had to have a back-up plan. She wouldn't budge. Right before the wedding was supposed to start, it started raining and the altar pieces blew over and smashed. It let up just enough for her to have her ceremony, but the reception was an absolute disaster. The wind and the rain ruined everything, and she was standing under an umbrella eating her wedding dinner while family members tried to salvage the soaked buffet. Then the wind started blowing everything around and people started running for their cars...a ruined reception. The guests who were left ended up in someone's garage drinking for the rest of the night.

Another one I remember (because it was sad) was with the bride who wouldn't hire someone to clean-up and break down her wedding. She thought all of her friends and family would help. They didn't. They left. At the end of the night, she sat there crying in her beautiful white gown and blinged out necklace while picking up garbage with one or two other people. Not funny, just sad.

The worst was the one in which the bride was left at the altar. She spent quite a bit of money on the wedding, and the groom just didn't show up. Worse than that, he didn't call. As the hours went by, it became obvious that she had been jilted. Somebody had to make an announcement to all the guests that there wasn't going to be a wedding that day, but I think they all stayed anyway. The next day, the groom called her and said he was sorry. He claimed that his "mistake" was in not calling her to let her know he wasn't coming. Unbelievably, she agreed to go to Las Vegas and marry him in a wedding chapel -- that night. He said it all worked out because she got the big wedding she wanted, and he got the small wedding he wanted. Never in a million years...

And then there's Karen, the bride from Long Island, NY. She wasn't just a bridezilla, she was one of the most repulsive individuals I've ever seen.

I remember the jilted one too Centerpiece. They were still married in the "catch up" episode.

I can't get past 10 minutes or so of any episode. I don't know why their friends and relatives and grooms and vendors put up with their BS. I would walk away from them!
