Ok...Here is the deal I purchased a Swarovski crystal cake topper for $60.00. I gave it to my cake lady at FTD Weddings (See my review) When we started cutting our cake I noticed it was missing. With all the excitement I let it go. When I got home from my Honeymoon I found the topper with the legs...

Ok...Here is the deal I purchased a Swarovski crystal cake topper for $60.00. I gave it to my cake lady at FTD Weddings (See my review) When we started cutting our cake I noticed it was missing. With all the excitement I let it go. When I got home from my Honeymoon I found the topper with the legs broken off and hot glue stuck to both legs. Needless to say they lady broke the legs off by accident im sure but told me it was my fault because I purchased a cheap topper. She refuses to reimburse me. What do you think....should she pay for the broken topper?

Karen, I didn't tell your husband that I redid the top of the cake, because I did not have to redo the top of the cake. And I did not do what you suggested in your theory, just to set the record straight.

And I do indeed charge a delivery fee.

You have never provided ANY information about where you purchased your cake topper- I seem to remember you bought it online or on Ebay- but if you purchased it from a genuine dealer, it would have been far far more expensive than $60.00, and in all fairness, your cake topper was made of thin metal and rhinestones. There is NO way it was a genuine Swarovski piece purchased at a dealer, such as at Southpark Mall.

In retrospect, I probably should have called you at 6am the morning of your wedding and told you all about it, but I thought that would be an unwelcome early wakeup call.

But the one glaring detail that I am starting to notice is that you have kept my cake stand for FOUR MONTHS with no apology and no explanation....

In fact, you wrote me a glowing email, telling me how wonderful the cake was, and how grateful you were, and I felt great that I was able to deliver your cake on such an awful day for my family, so there was indeed at least one bright spot in it...

Then AFTER I asked for my cake stand back, you replied with a demand for $60.00 to reimburse you for something you used, and since then have avoided all my attempts to collect my silver stand.

Every time I have been short a cake stand, I have had to rent one for $45.00 plus tax, PER DAY...

At this point I need you to tell me if you have any plans to return it, or if I need to report it as stolen.

If you have lost it, or broken it, please just tell me so I know how to proceed.

It is worth far more than this cake topper, so if you think this is some kind of fair trade, you're mistaken.

Oh man.....Your kidding right? I did not get my cake topper from ebay! If you look at my reviews you will see "A Perfect Day". That is where I purchased my topper. I have a letter of authenticity. I sent a copy of this letter to weddingwire. Also, I enformed A Perfect Day of the situation and they contacted weddingwire concerning the cake topper. This topper was indeed made with genuine Swarovski crystals. And as far as reporting the cake stand as stolen...... stealing means taking something that does not belong to you without the owners knowlege. I did not steal anything from you. And as far as what a cake stand is worth...Hobby Lobby has the same one for $50.00. And when they have the 50% off sale its $25.00. You need to pay for my broken topper and everyone seems to agree!! You have my address come and get the cake stand but make sure you bring my $60.00 with you please.
