Brooch Bouquet Brides... What are you throwing?

Angela, on September 2, 2014 at 10:31 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 19

I'm hoping to have some inspiration on what I should throw during the bouquet toss.

Any brooch bouquet brides have any pictures to share of their throw-away?

I'm open to DIY as long as it's not labor-intensive. I already have a ton to get done.

I have 18 days to figure it out Smiley sad

I didn't throw one. I have very negative feeling about it. But, enough about me. I say, just pick up a few flowers from a craft store and tie a bow around it. Or if you are having BMs, just throw one of theirs. It doesn't have to be anything extravagant, just needs to get the job done.

I might do the craft store option.

I made brooch bouquets for my bridesmaids too, as part of my gift to them, so all bouquets non-throwable.

I'm getting a toss bouquet from the florist I'm using for the rest of the wedding floral needs. I'm meeting with my florist next week so I don't have any pictures right now.

I did sola flowers for my bridesmaid bouquets so I'm just making my throw away with the extras from that.

Michael's sells small, artificial toss bouquets for $5.

I have a smaller version of my bridesmaids dried bouquets.

I had my florist make me a toss bouquet out of daisies and carnations. Cost me like $15.

    I'm throwing a feather bouquet. Here's a pic.

It goes with my theme... I'm not having any flowers. Instead, we're having feathers. The bridesmaids are also carrying feather bouquets, but in a different color.

@Mrs_M To Be - THAT would be interesting. Would bring new meaning to the phrase "Cat Fight"

I haven't made it yet but I am throwing just a "whatever" little bouquet. Nothing fancy lol. I'm pretty sure whoever catches it wont keep it forever.

I'm not throwing one, but I like the feather one - though I hope it has something heavy in the center to help it carry! Was just at Michael's, and indeed they have plenty of pretty, simple, fake ones for reasonable price ... especially end of season sales are a good time to pick it up.

I think it would be hilarious, in a cartoon way, to throw your bug brooch bouquet, but then I realize that it's probably so heavy it would crack someone's skull... ouch.

I like all the bouquets these ladies are posting, I knew a bride that had arranged with one of the bridesmaids that she would just take and use their bouquet.

Hobby Lobby carries pre made bouquets of colored Gerber daisies. The insides of the daisies have a few broaches without being ridiculously heavy

I collected my bridesmaids bouquets and tossed them all at once (as if it were one) for a nice surprise to the ladies. So instead of 1 person 5 people got bouquets. 3 of my bridesmaids traveled to our wedding and i didnt want them to have to pack the bouquet so I figured I can spread some hope and love with all of them.
