I made mine. It was made from brooches, ribbon roses and solas flowers. Everything probably cost me around $225.

I made mine and it cost over $500. It contains 130 brooches and several pairs of earrings for filler.

I have been collecting brooches and earrings since last May, so spending that money throughout the year, $15 here, $20 there, hasn't even made a dent in my finances.

Thanks! =) I found two big lots on eBay to start with. Then I started collecting from antique shows, garage sales, estate sales, flea markets and thrift stores.

I capped my spending at $3 per brooch.

    Good luck!!

Christmas time is a good time to find brooches. I bought many during that time. Also try fabulous brooch.com.

I am buying brooches and my aunt I making mine. The majority of mine are from E-Bay. I have spent a little over $100 so far...getting ready to send them to her so we shall see if there are enough or if its back to bidding!

Mine was around $250 to make, i collected brooches, earrings, buttons and pendants for about a year so it wasn't too bad. If I was doing it all over again I would definitely order the bulk of the brooches from international sellers on ebay. Big brooches for $10 a piece make a HUGE difference.

@A&J also a very pretty Brooch bouquet.

Thanks everyone for your help. I'm looking online for brooches now. Also, I never thought I could get them cheaper at Christmas time. That's a good tip.

I know this post is about a brooch bouquet but I can't help but share mine lol (sorry) it is still an alternative to real flowers, just not brooches! My sister made this, she had a brooch bouquet she also made!

Yup! The first one is my bouquet for my September wedding and it is all paper flowers. They're made out of card stock paper.

I purchased mine off etsy. The seller and I were in constant contact and she sent me swatches etc., in the mail before I made the final decision. I absolutly LOVE it! It cost $350.

@kristen G., what's the name of your etsy vender. Your bouquet is nice and I would like to have a fall back if I decide not to make mine and purchase instead.
