Vanessa, on August 10, 2018 at 5:29 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 5
My bbig brother has always been my best friend. He is ordained bc one of his best friends a few years ago asked him to do it in order to mRry them. I would love for my brother to be the one to marry us off but do you think that’s too much to ask of him? He might wabt to just sit back and enjoy ? I just got engaged and im a tkmboy so i know nothing about wedding planners. Thanks in advance for any advice

I don't think it's too much. People have close family and friends officiate their weddings all the time. Make sure he knows there's no pressure and he's welcome to say no if he would prefer to be a guest.

I don't think it's too much to ask. My aunt is going to do our, and she said that it is honor and wanted to. I would just ask if he said he doesnt want to then dont push him. But I'm sure it would mean a lot to him.

My brother is officiating for us and he is getting ordained just for our wedding lol. My FH and I are both very close with him and he is a great public speaker so we thought he’d be a great person to ask. We told him we’d love it if he would do it, but no obligation and we won’t be offended if he said no. He was thrilled, said yes before I even got through the sentence 😂 it was a huge honor to him and I could tell it meant so much to him that we wanted him to do it!

I would think he'd feel it was an honor to officiate for you! It's just a few minutes at the beginning, then he can celebrate like any other guest!

My Godfather is officiating for us and he's a nervous wreck but crazy excited!

Hi Vanessa! Welcome to the WeddingWire Community! Smiley ring I think you should definitely present the opportunity to him and see how he feels! He would probably be honored to play such a significant role in your big day!
