Brunch Wedding Entertainment?

Courtney, on April 1, 2016 at 11:28 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 18

We're having a brunch wedding in mid-December. I've been doing research on activities for guests during the reception, but everything I find says "lawn games." It's going to be too cold for that at our venue in the mountains in December.

Any suggestions for indoor reception activities? (Besides the usual of dancing and eating)

Maybe have a mimosa bar? Honestly, with a brunch wedding, activities might not be needed.

Side note: Brunch weddings look like fun!

Someone on here had a lifesize Jenga. That could be an inside game. Additionally a photo booth or caricature drawings, and maybe a couple 'stations' where guest leave their best wishes, advice and date night ideas.

Eta- I second a mimosa bar!

Definitely a mimosa bar. People will mingle, I don't think much entertainment is needed.

I love the mimosa bar idea. I think that people will naturally just mingle and enjoy catching up with people they know.

If you're thinking people won't get up, maybe put some cute food stations out so people can get up more casually to go get something to eat?

Love a brunch wedding! Mimosa bar, Bloody Mary bar. Personally I'm not of fan of many planned "activities" at weddings. I'm good drinking and mingling, don't ask me to do anything silly. Especially if you're doing traditional dances, cake cutting, garter/bouquet toss.... Time will fly!

Mimosa bar vote here. A photobooth is great, popcorn bar maybe or something like that, mingling, drinking, dancing, and maybe something that could be done at any wedding but might be especially nice earlier for something else, like the game that quizzes the bride and groom or something. You don't need many extras, people will mingle! (And these were just a bunch of ideas, I am not suggesting all of them lol!)

Any brunch definitely has to have a mimosa bar. I think anything food fun would be a good addition, like chocolate fondue for waffles/fruit? or build your own candy bag. I'm also not huge on 'planned activities' as others have said. Its still a wedding so I don't think guests would be bored with just dancing and mingling.

Dancing, eating, drinking. That's really all you need.

I would say a DJ just in case people want to dance. Maybe board games at the tables. I am doing a photo booth.

I'm having a brunch wedding: we're having a DJ, dancing, and a photo booth. And alcohol. It's going to be fun!

I don't think you need to worry too much about entertainment. Definitely yes to the mimosa bar. Also, how about a belgian waffle bar? Board games would be good. But aside from dancing and alcohol, you don't need much else to entertain adults.

We are having a brunch wedding and I'm hoping our guests will be plenty entertained with the good food, alcohol, and each other's company! We will also have a DJ/MC and a photobooth.

Mimosa Bar and/or Bloody Mary Bar suggestions are great!

I would skip the DJ and instead go with a String Trio or Pianist, seems more classic to me.

I'd suggest a Silhouette Artist for guests to have their silhouettes done or a photo booth with a beautiful floral backdrop (I would personally use all white paper flowers for the Winter!).

You can put board games on tables. That would be fun. I'm sure there are some yard games you can put inside. I am having a photo booth at my wedding which is also brunch along with a DJ cause if people like to dance they will.
