i know people hate self catering but the goal is to have just a relaxed big brunch celebrating love and I don’t want to change our idea because people think self catering is tacky because we can’t find anyone around us to do it. We would hire a few people to be behind the scenes and make it work, and not enlist family.

Please keep in mind that breakfast food is difficult to keep warm. Sometimes my eggs get cold at home from the walk from the kitchen to the table. There most likely are caterers who can accommodate this request for you, it just takes a little bit of extra research.

I am doing a brunch wedding and we will have an omelette station, french toast, waffles, bloody mary/mimosa bar, biscuits/bagels/croissants, all breakfast meats, salads and carving stations (probably more than I'm not remembering right now). Since this is brunch try to add in a lunch-ish food (like carving stations, salads, sandwiches, etc).

Guests are just that, guests. They should in no way be making their own food at your reception.

No, you need to do more than what’s offered at a continental breakfast at the Best Western. Or you elope, spend the night at a hotel that offers breakfast, and celebrate over breakfast with just you and your spouse.

You could probably get nice pastries and bagels from Panera Bread, Sam's Club or something like that.

Breakfast food is really hard to keep warm as people have said.

You could also buy a tray or two of the chicken biscuit minis from Chick-fil-a.

What is your guest list count?

Have you tried Bob Evans or Cracker Barrell? You may need to call or go in person to talk to someone to see if they'd do wedding sized catering, but they do cater. I'd check them out before throwing in the towel Smiley shame

How much is that costing you per person? It sounds really awesome. I have been struggling to deal with my caterer because I feel like I am being cleaned out.

Thanks! $22 per person for food, and we’re paying for two drinks from the bar per person with a cash bar after that, so that’s $16 per person.
