Brunch/lunch wedding!

Ggreer14, on May 1, 2022 at 1:38 PM Posted in Planning 3 5
We decided we are having an early wedding, our ceremony starting at 12, 12:30 cocktail hour, then 1:30 lunch. Anyone been to an early day wedding? How was it? Pros and cons? Let me know!

My daughter had a brunch wedding reception.
    Pros:
-half the cost of an evening dinner/reception -liquor consumption much less during the day and cheaper (mimosas, beer, wine)-over by 4:30-5:00 (the bridal party and friends rented party bus and had evening in the city)Cons:-can't think of any other than not having sunset pictures

As someone who is an early bird I would totally dig a lunchtime wedding! Admittedly I would be less inclined to dance unless there was a big crowd of people dancing (preferring to have a bit more alcohol in me before hitting the dance floor) but I feel like this would be great!

This is what I'm hoping for too -ceremony around 11:30, a few photos and a bit of a cocktail hour, and then BRUNCH at around 1:00! My favourite and my fiance is not one for being in the spotlight. This is also our 2nd marriage for both of us so neither of us feels the need to do something huge or stressful.
