Bubbles after the Ceremony

Elizabeth, on September 25, 2018 at 8:12 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 9

Hi everyone!

I've decided I'd like to do bubbles as we walk down the aisle during the recessional. Have any of you done this and if so, what bubble 'accessories' did you buy haha? I was thinking bubble guns for the ends of the aisles, but wondered if a bubble machine might be better? The bubble guns I'm seeing on amazon are $20 for a pack of 6, and I'd likely get 2 packs. A bubble machine would probably be a wash cost wise...

I'm considering this too even though I did bubble wands.

I don't have any specific suggestions about bubbles except to double-check with your venue to make sure they are allowed. Daughter's venue does not allow them because they potentially make the flooring of the area where they do ceremonies (outdoors) slippery and create a risk of guests falling.... I was surprised -- never thought of bubbles being "dangerous," but I guess they can be. Smiley winking

Good point. They do not allow them inside but they will allow them outside for the ceremony

Personally I don’t like bubbles at weddings because they’re messy and pop leaving soap rings on your good clothes. Great for photos, but not ideal for formal wear. They can actually stain your wedding dress as well or leave rings that won’t fade until you have it dry cleaned.

We had small bubble wands that every guest was handed and then our planner had two of the bubble guns. It ended up being a great number of bubbles. You really don't need 12 bubble guns. I only had about 60 guests with small wands and two bubble guns. This is what it looked like with those numbers. A bubble exit makes for great photos Smiley smile

Oooo amazing! Ok thanks that's really helpful!

Did you have any trouble with staining? I'm less worried about my dress (GASP) and more about FH's suit that he bought and will wear many times. I'll be sure to do a little test before the big day (tminus 17 days AAAAHHHH)

I didn't notice any issues with staining. My cousin dumped two entire bottles of the bubbles on my dress and I didn't see any marks from it. We also didn't notice any marks on my husband's tux either. It's possible it could stain, but we didn't have any issues with that. I think some brands might be more safe for clothes. Congrats on the upcoming wedding!!! It's crunch time Smiley smile
