Budget friendly Florists in the DMV?

Amanda, on September 21, 2017 at 1:28 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 15

Does anyone have any recommendations for a budget-friendly florist in the DMV (DC, Maryland, VA) area?

Thanks,

Amanda

Sarah from Intrique Flowers has an online site called https://popsofplum.com/ where you can packages or individual items. I love Sarah's work. She does a lot of weddings where I work. Don't rule out Trader Joes or Whole Foods for flowers. Where is your weding?

I swear this was just posted. I am using Wegman's, some of their stores have wedding service. Mine are coming from Dulles. I priced it against a another florist and it was half as much.

I would use Wegman's. My cousin had her wedding flowers done by them and they were gorgeous.

I like Growing Wild Floral Company. Barbara worked within my budget and incorporated the decorations I wanted. She was the best option that balanced beautiful decor and price. Of course, I've only seen pictures but I have total faith in her abilities.

I don't know what your budget is to know what you mean by budget friendly.

I used Rick's Flowers in Sterling (i think). It was $1500 for 1 bouquet, 2 buot, 2 corsage, 2 alter centerpieces with column rental, and 9 centerpieces. This included delivery and set-up.

Potomac Floral Wholesale (Silver Spring) is where I'm buying all my flowers and then we are making all the displays and bouquets. Im almost positive they will make bouquets though.

I'm in Woodbridge, VA and I'm going to order flowers wholesale and make them myself. Wegman's was my first choice, but I have made arrangements before, so I'm just going to order the flowers and pick them up and arrange them 2 days before.

I haven't figured out flowers yet but someone recently posted in a Facebook group that Harris Teeter does wedding flowers and I heard they did a great job.

I used Weaver's Flowers in Mechanicsville. They're Amish so you'll have to pick them all up yourself. I got 1 bridal bouquet, 1 toss, 5 bridesmaids bouquets, 6 bouts, 12 centerpieces and flowers for the top of the arch for under $900

Costco and Sams Club can actually create packages for you, which was our backup. We are going with a certified florist vendor from St. Anthony's Bridal in Fairfax.

Affordable Scentsational Florists are both in DC and Baltimore! We didn't end up booking them, went with The Flower Cart in Baltimore. But scentsational was on the cheaper end for florists!
