Just Said Yes March 2022

Budget of $8-$10,000

I need help! My original wedding was cancelled in April due to Covid. We were supposed to get married and have our honeymoon on a cruise and all of that was going to cost about $7,000. Well since that is out of the plan now we are back to square one and I am completely lost. I have narrowed down a couple of venues but they are so confusing as far as who offers what. There are pros and cons between each venue. I was looking at lover's Key and also Suite 48. If any of you got married there can you please give me some tips and ideas on what you were responsible for? The actual price of the venues are not that bad but when you have to include the vendors as far as catering, bartenders, alcohol and of course photography it just all adds up so quickly. It looks like for both places I'm going to have to purchase my own alcohol which actually isn't that bad but I'm at a loss for which catering place to use. We are only going to have around 50 to 65 guests at our wedding. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Oh our wedding date is most likely going to be October or November of next year

Hi Erin! I spent a lot of time writing out pros and cons when deciding between wedding venues - because you're right, there are so many different factors!! I'd definitely make sure you get your rentals covered between your venue & catering choices (tables, chairs, linens, silverware, plates, glasses, etc.) so you don't have to rent those separately!

Suite Forty Eight and Lovers Key both look beautiful - do you have a preference on an indoor or outdoor wedding?

You can find and compare local caterers here: Fort Myers Wedding Caterers.

I'd also recommend checking out The Classics Country Club at Lely Resort - they advertise packages that start as low as $50 per person!

I was about to go with Suite 48 but our guest list grew and had to find another venue. A couple of catering options. I’m going with Savour First Choice catering. Great people to work with so far. Went with bbq buffet to lower my catering cost. You could also look into Publix catering but will probably have to hire servers and bartenders. In my search for catering / hiring bartenders, I remembered seeing a bartender school in downtown fort myers where you could find people. Food trucks from fort myers brewery may also be a good option for you although I don’t know how much they cost.
