Yay, it's done! We tied the knot July 27th, 2019, one day after our 5 year anniversary.

We had a small wedding, 30 guests in all (parents, grandparents, siblings/spouses) everything was stress free. We couldn't see spending alot of money on a wedding, when money could go elsewhere (home remodeling, new car)

For our wedding, our number one must have was good food and that was a success!

Ceremony - Our Backyard
Photos - Ann Arbor Law Quad
Dinner only Reception - The Earle, Ann Arbor

I have included the breakdown of spending below just in case anyone was curious.

[Ceremony]

Tulle for backdrop (8) - $67.02
10x20 canopy - $109
Fake ivy - $55
Wreaths - $33 (Facebook marketplace)
Burlap runners - $50 (only used a few, 19 extra rolls)
Home depot rod - $13
White tarp - $21.45 (didn't end up using)
Lanterns - $20 (Facebook marketplace)
Galvanized buckets - $20 (Facebook marketplace)
Table numbers - $40 (didn't use)
Jones soda, we printed our own labels and used spray glue (20) - $20
Officiant - free, (father in laws best friend)

[Bride]
Staples bra - $14.99
Hair vine - $14.66
Jewelry - $15.89
Dress - $150 (the brides project, ann arbor)
Dress alterations - $200
Veil - $35 (didn't end up using)
Belt - $25 (didn't end up using)
Shoes - $84
Hair and makeup - $190
Bouquet - Free (my friend made it)

[Groom]
Suit - $180
Shoes - $45

[Reception, 30 guests]
Food and drink - 2,100
Wedding photographer - Free (my friend, she works with Kreativ Imaging)
DJ - None, we had a UE Boom speaker and a playlist

Total - 3,463.01

(121.45 of stuff I didn't actually use, I did not include rings in price, because that's a life time investment and our wedding rings were also our engagement rings)

I haven't gotten all of our wedding photos back yet (my photographer friend is preparing for her own wedding, congrats!) but I'll post a few photos so you get the idea (and post more later)

I love the ivy! I’m looking for something similar for my wedding. Where did you order yours from?
