Budget

I'm trying to figure out what would be a good budget for a beach wedding. I have no clue where to start.

Budget is dependent on the couples finances, location and guest list. So it really could vary.

This totally depends on the cost of living of the area and what type of wedding you want. You could have a $100 beach wedding or a $100,000 beach wedding! I would sit down and think about what exactly you and your SO want for your wedding and what vendors would be needed to execute the vision. Then start reaching out to local vendors in that are to get an idea of average costs.

How much can you save each month for the wedding after bills and personal savings? Then, multiply that by the length of time of your engagement and add any money that’s been saved already specifically for the wedding (if any). For example, saving $1000 a month during a 15 month engagement would give you a $15,000 budget. This will allow you to not go into debt for a party. The budget will dictate the amount of guests you can realistically host and other vendors, etc.

We’re doing a beach wedding, and trying to do it as inexpensive as possible. We only had to pay $200 for a permit for the beach (venue). It’s at sunset, and we’re renting a tent for the beach next to the ceremony for the reception. We have to get special turtle lights (nesting season), but we’d need lights anyways. We did a company that has a package deal for chairs, altar, decorations, wedding officiant, and photography, and it saved us a ton. They’re letting us use the chairs for the reception too. Got a great deal for the caterer for appetizers, buffet, and alcohol, as well as tables, cake cutting, and waiter and bartender. Putting everything together with the DJ and cake, it’s only going to cost us around $5,000! Hope this helps! Reach out if you have any other questions!

Beach wedding & reception on Anna Maria Island, FL. 65 people, ceremony and full out reception (photographer, DJ, cake, plated meal, open bar, photo booth, florals, etc) will be running about $18,000. we could have saved money with a buffet, but that was NOT an option for us..
