Buffet Menu on Wedding Website

Private User, on March 2, 2011 at 12:42 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6

Do you think its a good idea? Just so that people know what they will be eating. I have alot of food and I really dont want to do menu cards nor programs for expence reasons. So do you consider it tacky or useful for guest.

If I was a guest, I would LOVE that. I'm kind of a picky eater and FH is a VERY picky eater, so knowing what the choices were ahead of time would be awesome. That way, if we needed to, we could grab something to eat before we came. Also, I have kids and knowing what's on the menu for the kids' sake would be fantastic.

Totally up to you~ It's not necessary, but I also wouldn't classify it as tacky. You don't need a menu card for a buffet… check with your caterer to see if they'll have a menu out at the buffet table. Some caterers will put labels on the dishes so guests know what they're digging into. Or if you have a carved item at the end the chef an usually answer questions that the guests have while they're going thru the line.

I put ours up on our website. http://www.larasteve.com/menu.html

But I'm a nut about menus. I will read all menus before going to any restaurant.

I plan to do it. My reason is because I think I have a large group that isn't use to formal weddings with sit down dinner and cocktail hour. I don't want them thinking the hors d'oeuvres are all that they get and overdo it.

I'm not doing a menu card for dinner, but I am planning a program card so they know not to expect things like bouquet toss and garter toss.
