Bug repellent ideas for outdoor wedding?

Jenn, on November 18, 2020 at 4:13 PM Posted in Planning 0 8
Hello!

We are getting married in May and our ceremony area is very woodsy. I remember visiting in July and being absolutely attacked by mosquitos 😂

So I'm just trying to get an idea of what kind of bug repellent I should have for the guests! I saw some indivually wrapped wipes by a few brands (I figured this might be the most pandemic friendly) or would it be just better to have a few bottles for people to spray themselves? Or is there any other mosquito/bug repellent ideas or remedies you guys might have or done for your own wedding?
Thanks so much!

I personally use those bug repellant bracelets you're talking about! so i think i would like that. but having some spray bottles around would be ok too i think.

recently i also came across the fact that there are also STICKERS/patches that are bug repellants too - of course i don't know how effective this is.

Omg! I've never heard of patches, but that might actually work out really well! The one thing I worried about the wipes were all the garbage that would be left behind, but the patches might be great!

I’ve also heard dryer sheets work well, you can tape them under the chairs.

I made this sign and bought a ton of bug spray to put out. I recommend Off! Smooth and Dry because it is not greasy but just be careful spraying it clothes! My bridesmaid sprayed it on her dress and it caused white spray stains that she and the other bridesmaids frantically tried to get off with water!

Citronella candles are a good way to go.

I was told this too, but wasn't quite sure how my venue would be about open flames!
