Really? There are plenty of women who are looking for dresses, or even donating it to be made into angel clothes( I think that's what they are called, could be wrong), for babies who pass before their time.
Idk why you'd want to photograph that. I can see the release of emotion in it but not something I'd prolly want memories of hung in my house. Id donate my dress before destroy it.
I get it -- it's symbolic, it's emotional. However, there are so many women out there looking for a cheap wedding dress. We see them on these forums, even. I honestly think it's very wasteful and somewhat disgusting to do this. There are better ways to express your newfound freedom or whatever without destroying things.
I'm kind of superstitious with stuff like that so I'm not sure I would want a dress from someone who was divorced. My sis purchased her dress from a lady who called her wedding off and is now divorced (not even 5 yrs later). I personally wouldn't buy it so might as well burn it or I agree with @jessicaistotallysmitten on getting it turned into angel clothes. I would never sell it though if I was divorced.
