Buying Draping Fabric in bulk

jamelyn, on March 28, 2019 at 7:48 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11

I have heard it is better to buy draping fabric than to rent it. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on How to find the best deal or where would be cheapest to buy Chiffon as several very large pieces. I want to drape the fabric over the rafters instead of stapling separate pieces on either side. The first picture is my actual venue and the second two are what i would like to do at my reception. ive thought about amazon, etsy, craft stores etc. any advice?

I bought 10 yards of chiffon fabric on Amazon for $30 (click the word Amazon for the link) I haven't got it out of the box yet but I purchased it based on someone else's suggestion on here.

Walmart is where I would check first for fabrics then craft stores. Joann's is usually the pricier of the bunch. Check amazon as well.

Ive asked around and so far ive ruled out etsy since its expensive. Amazon seems to have what I need however it's hard to find sellers that sell a large enough quantity so you have to scroll through a few pages if you're hoping to compare prices. I had really been hoping that I would find the cloth store that was going out of business. Someone has suggested to me just to buy it straight from a wholesaler But I don't know what/where those are. I do know someone told me in mobile There is a store called fabric by the pound. If you live anywhere near mobile Alabama

Where do you find a wholesaler for this is it like a chain store with a name or just a type of business I should be looking for?

After looking i found best prices at the wholesale website another bride suggested! Chiffon at about 2.80 ish a yard (depending on the amount you need) and silk for about 1.88 a yard! Free shipping for both! ❤ hope your wedding is perfect!!!!
