Buying lights in bulk for outdoor wedding

Joanna, on May 23, 2018 at 10:49 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6
Hello,

Does anyone have recommendations for sales or deals when buying string lights in bulk? I’ve been eyeing Amazon but was wondering if anyone had any ideas to look elsewhere.

Our ceremony and reception venue is on a friend’s ranch property out in the hill country of Austin, and so we will need many lights to brighten up the place (stringing them from trees, between posts, along fences, lighting up pathways, etc.).

Any recommendations and ideas are welcome!

Hi Joanna! Aside from Amazon, did you consider wholesale retailers like Costco or Sam's Clubs? How about home improvement stores like Home Depot or Lowe's? I think they might be a great option! You can also check out the following lighting and decor vendors to see if they can assist:

Your plans sound beautiful; I can only imagine how vibrant the lights will look on the ranch!

    Good luck!

We just found our venue, which is someone elses family property, and they have plenty of flood lights and walkway lights for the deck, patio and garden we are also thinking of adding string lights. We're just gonna hit the sales around Christmas. Nothing with less than 100 lights and all incandescent (which is less expensive.)

Big lots usually has a lot of bulk lights for cheaper! I'm not sure the quality, but if you only needed them for one day it may be something to look into.

Dont forget electricity options. Whether you have electricity and only need electric lights or if there is no power and you will need battery operated lights.

Your wedding isn't until march of next year, the best time to buy them is after Christmas at Walmart etc.

I getting ready to say the same thing. The best time to buy lights is Walmart's clearance sale after Xmas.
