byo Venues Pennsylvania

Letícia, on July 22, 2019 at 11:53 AM Posted in Pennsylvania Planning 0 6
Hey guys,
My fiancé and I would like to find an outdoor/indoor (tent), garden/trees/rustic/or historic style venue that accepts BYO catering food in Pennsylvania near by Ambler and region (or places like until 1h30m away from Ambler). Do you guys have any suggestions?!?! It’s been hard to find a place since we both don’t live in PA and I’m outside the US, we still have time but it would be nice to get some places to look for and request a quote.

Thank you ❤️

BYO catering is difficult in Montgomery and Philadelphia County areas. The closer you are to cities, the more they have preferred and required caterers.

I suggest looking into firehalls and non-traditional event rentals. I had my reception at a small art gallery that was just starting to host events. We had a food truck caterer (who served buffet style inside the venue). Some breweries and vineyards also allowed outside catering. Also, if you're okay with a dry event, the park system will also allow outside catering.

That’s our idea! To have food truck caterer and breweries/vineyards! We are trying to find a place there we can have both (ceremony and reception) if you have any website suggestions or how I find this places that would be very helpful 😊

This might be a good place to start searching: PA Vineyards and PA breweries . Contact any that may be in the areas your looking for/interested in specifically and they'll be able to let you know if it's worth it.

Also, for a food trucks, if you're even in the area/people that are in the area, ask them to check out food truck festivals. They can scope of things that interest you and get their contact info. We chose Jammin' Crepes . We got a full service catering experience with salads, appetizers, crepe entrees and a crepe cake through them. They're based out of Princeton, NJ. But traveled down to Philadelphia to cater the wedding. Ambler may be a bit out of their travel range, but I'm not sure.

Hey Letícia! Congratulations on your engagement!

As Nikita mentioned, it can be a little more difficult to find venues that allow outside catering, but definitely not impossible!

Do you have a caterer in mind that you would like to book for your wedding? If so, it would be a great idea to inquire with them about venues that they have previously worked at weddings. You should also check out the WeddingWire vendue search.

If you are considering an outdoor tent wedding, you could also look into some national parks or open areas in the locality that would allow you to erect a rented tent for your venue!

    Hey Nikita!

Check out Jeffrey A. Miller Catering - they have a ton of venues in that area and I think what most of them would fit what you are looking for perfectly. They are all either historical sites or rustic feeling - or both! Most of them have plenty of outdoor and indoor space. I am getting married at one of their NJ venues next year, but I looked at a few of the ones in PA as well. Their food is INCREDIBLE - all farm to table and fresh, unique options. They are also super easy to work with and most of the venues have package pricing.

As far as BYOB goes, I know that Aldie Mansion is BYOB for sure - not 100% certain on the others.
