Hi Everyone!

I've been searching for Bring your Own Alcohol venues in Maryland/DC area. If anyone has any suggestions, I would VERY MUCH THANK YOU in advance!!!!

My Fiance & I have been engaged for a long time..through my CPA exam study year and through the purchase of our first home. We both have large family and I feel like i'm drowning trying to plan a wedding of max 200 guests. Any idea's you may have will be very appreciated.

We were married in Savage MD. We were married at the manor house managed by Putting on the Ritz catering, but they also have a larger space at Historic Savage Mill.

It's not completely BYOA, but the open bar price for beer and wine was very reasonable (I thought $20/pp over 21 but my husband seems to think it was closer to $16 or $17) . We were also able to bring in liquor and they provided mixers at no additional cost.

They're almost all-inclusive in that they provide the catering (which was delicious) cupcakes and DJ. For us they used Bialeks Music and our DJ killed it! They also provide an event coordinator who handles set up and breakdown and makes sure the day runs smoothly, so basically a DOC.

We live in the Pittsburgh area, so planning a wedding out near Baltimore wasn't going to be easy, but for the most part they made it stress-free. I definitely recommend checking them out!

Hi Melissa! Welcome to the WeddingWire community! Congratulations on your engagement, you must be so excited that you can now start planning your wedding!

I'm not exactly sure about Bring Your Own Alcohol venues in the Maryland/DC area but you should take a look at our vendors search and you might come across something that is perfect for you - Wedding Venues in Washinton DC

The search allows you to narrow it down to a specific city and number of guests so that you aren't overloaded with beautiful venues that won't suit what you are looking for!

We did Pond view farm in Harford county! It was amazing. We also looked at Deer Creek Overlook at rocks state park which allowed you to bring your own alcohol and food! Good luck!

From what I understand, venues want caterers to be incharge of serving all alcohol for liability reasons...its the only way they can make sure that minors aren't being served or that no one is being over-served which is a huge liability. But if you were to bring some of your own...I think the venue just doesn't want to know about it so they can plead ignorance if something bad were to happen as a result. I think the only truly legal BYOB wold have to be like a backyard wedding at a private residence. Good luck on finding the perfect venue for you!

Look into local and state parks. Some allow alcohol but with a permit. Double check when booking though.
