ca Brides, name change and Real id

With it being so close to the end of the month/beginning of a new month and a holiday during wedding season they may be a bit backlogged and processing more IDs. I would give it until maybe Wednesday or so of next week and if it still hasn't come, then call the DMV and see if they can check the status of it.

I think it took me about a month or so to get my Real ID last year. I had to do mine because my license was expiring and I'm really not looking forward to going through the process again next year. Bleh.

With regards to your new ID, I would perhaps wait a few more days before you contact the DMV. As the pp mentioned, they may have a backlog of ID’s to process since it was a holiday weekend and will most likely be working through them as quickly as possible this week.

I just did mine this past Friday the 5th of July so I am waiting or mine, but the process is so crazy. Line after line of checking the same thing only to be told you don't need one thing another person said you do. Warning for those who still need to go, take more than necessary.

As an update, I called last week and they said they send it out two weeks earlier and then I finally got my new license in the mail on 7/15 so it took about a month for me to get it
