Cake (how many tiers and how much are you paying?)

Lav, on March 30, 2022 at 6:11 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 5 26
How many tiers is your cake and how much are you paying for it? I am doing 3 tier cake (the 1st layer is real and the other 2 is fake, I am going to use styrofoam)

We'll have a small 2-tier cake just for us to cut, then we'll take the rest home. We have a variety of other desserts for the guests.

We had a 1 tier 12" round cake for us to cut and then a half sheet cake in the kitchen. Both were made by the same bakery and were exactly the same flavor. We saved some money by ordering one of their standard flavors (instead of something special order). We did the decoration ourselves on the round cake with blueberries, blackberries, and a dusting of powdered sugar. The sheet cake was left undecorated and each plate had a scoop of berries to the side of the cake slice. Total cost was about $175 (including the berries).

We had to order from a kosher bakery, and it's not cheap, so that's why we didn't get enough for everybody! It will be $618 including tax and delivery.

We had a 3-tier cake. It was from a popular bakery in my area but included in the contract for our venue ($130 per person, with tax, for all food and beverage, waitstaff, etc.).

OMG! Yeap, that’s definitely a lot of money for a cake. I am in NC - the 12” cake will feed around 40-50 people and the sweets will be enough, not everyone likes sweet and will probably be stuffed with dinner. Tks for sharing!

We are going to have a 3 tier cake it serves about 80 (our guest list is 85 adults and 20 kids but I doubt EVERYONE will show up) also we will have brownies and cookies! Our total for just the cake is close to 500. We aren’t going crazy with decor! Similar to this.Cake (how many tiers and how much are you paying?) 1

We are getting a 3-tier cake that can serve 82 people
Top layer is vanilla and lemon, second is carrot cake and the bottom layer is chocolate (my favorite) from my favorite bakery that also happens to be vegan 🌱

It cost us $478 but worth every penny for me.

We had a 3-tier cake. Red velvet with cream cheese frosting. It was delicious, could not stop eating it. Not sure of the price as it was included with the package from the venue. Cake (how many tiers and how much are you paying?) 2

    Thank you!
She told us that we would not have to worry about tipping since we were buying a full cake and paying for delivery charge.

We're doing a 3-tier where 2 tiers are vanilla with lemon mousse filling and the other tier is red velvet with cream cheese filling. The smaller vanilla/ lemon tier is going to be wrapped for our anniversary and the rest should feed about 100. We used a baker that's partnered with our reception venue, so a good chunk of the price was baked in (lol) with the cost of the venue.
