I'm bored, so let's have a little fun! For those of us who are already married, post a picture of your cake, and for those who are not married yet, post a picture of your cake/cupcakes inspiration. I'm bored, so let's have a little fun! For those of us who are already married, post a picture of your cake, and for those who are not married yet, post a picture of your cake/cupcakes inspiration. I was married on 4/25/14, and here's what our cake looked like. The single tier was red velvet with chocolate filling, and the icing was buttercream. The other four tiers were french vanilla with chocolate filling, and buttercream icing. It was delicious, and for $609.00, it had better been, lol! I can't wait until our 1 year anniversary to eat the single tier!

    @Marisa-in-love- I saw your BAM post and pretty much loved everything about your wedding! Your cake is very nice, and I especially love how your cake topper looks just like you and your DH. I didn't care about our cake topper, and neither did DH. I found ours at a craft/party supply store and paid like $7.00 I think, lol.

    @RebeccaHope - my cake inspiration is like yours a little Smiley smile

    We met with our cake designer on Tuesday and did tastings and made some decisions. This is my inspiration and I already gave her the plastic leaves for it.

    This is our cake without the flower on top. We will also have a black ribbon on the solid layers instead of white ribbon. The bottom tier is chocolate cake with raspberry compote and chocolate ganache and the top 3 tiers will be pumpkin cake with caramel buttercream.

    @Ashley- oh no! Did you let the baker know how upset you were?

    I got a new one! The mean one that basically told me that I couldn't afford her is no longer getting any business from me and I make sure to tell everyone how terrible she is. I found an amazing baker who is way better priced and she is sweet as pie! Smiley smile Her cake tastes better too haha

    Ours will looks something like this, but the tree bark will be more detailed. This was the closest I could find to what our cake lady is going to be making.

    Here are my inspirations. I'm combining the color of the soft blue/robins egg blue color and texture (minus the gold flecks) and doing the leaves around the cake like the second picture. Our cake is only one tier though. The rest will be cupcakes.

    A friend of my family's got married at the same venue I will be getting married at and actually had the same cake that we picked so I got to see how pretty it is in real life Smiley smile

    My flowers will be white and gray instead of white and pink
