Cake Smash - Yea or Nay?

My FH has two sons who will be 13 and 6 and our wedding day. We plan to include them in our cake cutting, and instead of smashing the cake in each others' faces (I'll be damned if the makeup I pay good money for gets ruined), we are each going to surprise attack the boys and smash the cake in their faces.

Nope, i think it's tacky.

Nay! I paid $200 for makeup, it would be a waste to ruin it! I always think the cake smash is so tacky!

Absolutely not!!! It feels so disrespectful to smash food in someone's face especially when the sharing of the cake should represent your promise to feed each other's needs in your life together.

My FH knows he better not do it, or the day will not end well.

I've already told my FH I didn't want cake smashed in my face and he agreed.

No cake smash, but booping the nose with a little frosting makes for a sweet moment.

This is a hard no for us

We aren't even doing a big cake cutting, just having the photographer take some pictures of the 2 of us and that's it. And neither one of us wants it smashed in our faces.

Nay! I refuse to get any cake on my face and hair after all that time and money I spent getting it to look a certain way. Maybe after if we take any cake back lol

Nay, nay, NAY! How disrespectful is it to smash cake into your new spouse's face? Especially after I'm spending hundreds of dollars on my hair/makeup/dress. If my FH were to do this, it would be grounds for divorce.

Absolutely not. I find it disrespectful.. and a huge waste of money after paying for my hair/makeup.
