Cake tasting?

Speaking from my best friends wedding ( I did her cake tastings with her, her husband couldn't get off for any of them) and we only went to one. She loved the bakery, the options, the service, and the price was well within her budget! Unless your price shopping, I see no reason to continue looking around unless you really like tasting! I know I do lol

YUM!!! I think cake tasting was the most fun for me haha. As far as official cake tastings go we only had one at the bakery I pretty much use for everything. But just to make sure we weren't missing out on anything we did go to a few other new to us bakeries and buy cakes to bring to events for a few months ( you invited us to your house you got a cake haha). We preferred the original bakery that we always go to so we just did our tasting with them, seriously I think every birthday and graduation cake from the time I was 5 has been purchased there haha. Completely up to you though and also depends on if the tastings are expensive, some bakeries do them complimentary but others charge. Have fun!!!

We only did one tasting. We were really happy with the options we were given, which didn’t require us to do an additional tasting. Do you all have any flavors you’re thinking about?

Our reception venue is an all-inclusive, so the price of the cake was baked in (haha). It was a way better price if we used a certain baker they suggested, so we scheduled a tasting with them. The tasting was great, so we just called it a day after 1 tasting. Unless you don't like the cake you try or you find a better price, 1 tasting totally works!

You can also do different flavors for different tiers if you and your fiancé like different flavors!

Our venue's catering package came with a custom wedding cake and we were able to try three bakeries. We did end up going to all 3 and ended up going with the last one we went to. I think as long as you like the flavors, they can do the style you want, and it's in your budget? There's nothing wrong with finding what you want in a single stroke. Heck if I could have done that with my venue I would have saved myself a LOT of time!!

View Quoted Comment Oh nice! I love red velvet. It has such a rich taste to me. Maybe you could do the bottom and top same flavor and middle lemon? I’d recommend trying the lemon, some bakeries have overpowering lemon flavor. Unless you like that and it’s fine too lol

We did 2 cake tastings because my mom and mother in law love cake 😂 after the first place, we all knew that’s where we wanted cake from but be decided to have fun with it and try a second for fun and just to be sure with our choice
