Hi there! Im trying to create part of the timeline for our elopement/micro ceremony. We will be having the ceremony on a boat, a two hour private charter, followed by dinner nearby. I have booked the photographer for 4 hours which will give us time to do first look and family photos. I do not plan on having the photographer take photos at dinner, but would like photos of the cake cutting. Would it be strange to do the cake cutting and drinks on the boat after the ceremony and before dinner? Dinner is a coursed meal which includes dessert as well (which will not be cake.)

Not at all. Especially if your ceremony is on the boat. It would make sense to do it that way.

We're cutting our cake before dinner so our photographer can get shots of it. I don't think anyone will care as long as they get cake at some point.
