Calling all hair dressers - pixie cut disaster

Denah, on January 10, 2019 at 12:17 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 13

I need advice! I chopped off my full head of hair about 3 months ago. I wanted a change but now I don't know how to style it for my big day.

My fiancee thinks I am beautiful no matter hat and loves my hair cut choice but I have come to regret the "chop". I don't know how to make myself feminine and to feel pretty.

Any advice for styling? My hair grows really fast (3/4 - 1" a month) and since I have 3 months to grow it out I figured I would let it grow as much as it can until about 2 weeks before the wedding and then have it shaped then with what I have.

From exactly 1 week ago. I have trimmed it twice since the original chop back in october.Calling all hair dressers - pixie cut disaster 1The day I got it cut the first time.Calling all hair dressers - pixie cut disaster 2

That haircut looks so good on you! I wish I could pull that off!
Have you thought about wearing a sparkly headband or something to give it that “feminine vibe” you’re going for? I think that’s look really pretty with some mousse to give your hair a little wave to it.

Maybe try some Biotin to help with the growth but I think the cut looks good on you! As for styles, maybe a headband or clip of some sort or are you doing a veil?

Denah, I seriously think your hair is so cute! Smiley heart You pull off a pixie perfectly!

I agree, biotin vitamins can help for hair growth in the meantime! Were you planning on hiring a hairstylist for your wedding day? How do you feel about hair accessories like pins or glittery headbands? Will you be wearing a veil? Smiley heart

Thank you so much! I actually do like the cut, but I feel like it was a mistake to do pre-wedding. I like the mousse idea for sure, I'll have to do some test runs to see if that's the way to go 💛💛

That's the thing, I dont know of I am going to do a veil or not... I want to? But I dont know what type and all that. And then if I do, how am I supposed to keep it in my hair? Back-combing? And thank you so much, I like the cut just not for my wedding day...

You guys are all so sweet! I guess I should add that I do love my hair shorter, I just liked the femininity of longer hair and regret cutting it so short before the big day. I thought I wouldnt, but here I am.

Aw thank you! And I will definitely try taking some biotin. I did a garlic hair oil treatment and that helped grow it out quite a bit! I just cant help but think that I'll probably just end up buzzing the sides again before the wedding if it cant grow long enough to really do something with it.

    Of course!

Chelsey included some great inspo pics here! Like in the last picture, I have seen brides with short hair wear a veil that is pinned into their hair or attached to a headband, too! Smiley heart It's really up to you as all of these hair-pieces and wedding-day looks are really bridal & romantic looking. Smiley heart

Have you been on Pinterest? Looking at short-hair wedding hairstyles might help to visualize what you could do with veils and hairpieces, alike. Smiley heart

You posted some of my favorite inspiration pics from Pinterest for pixie wedding hairstyles! I’ve been growing mine out and will hopefully be to a short a line by then, but I honestly can’t find ANY pics with that length and may just go back to my pixie 😂
I was going to post the same question but I found d yours!
