Calling all pale/fair brides!

I am very fair (I call it porcelain, lol) with blonde hair and am afraid that an ivory or white dress will really wash me out more and make my veins in my chest and arms stand out. I've been thinking about a blush or Moscato wedding dress. Any pale brides out there wear white and it looked ok or had...

I'm very pale as well, though I have more yellow undertones. I went with ivory, which I think looked great and de-emphasized my paleness!

I'm fair skinned, and it was in January, but I went with ivory and I think it looked perfect. I thought champagne would be best for me, but when I tried it on it didn't look right, but the pure white would have been too much I think. The ivory was a nice balance for my skin tone. You have to actually try the colour on to see how it works!

I'm a fair redhead wearing ivory. White worked because of my hair, but I love ivory on my skin tone.

I was shocked when I tried on dresses and found I didn't look too washed out. Personally, I went with ivory, as I thought it complimented the paleness best. I think a blush dress would look stunning though if you can find one!

I think blush or ivory would look fine! I'm really fair as well and I ended up with an ivory over nude dress. I have sheer parts of my dress (straps and low back) and it literally matches my skin tone.

Well, I am about as pale as it can get, really. My dress is champagne over ivory and it looks great with my skin tone! I don't think you could go wrong with blush or ivory.

I'm pretty pale with pink undertones as well and I went with a champagne/ivory (per the label) dress. Some ivory made me look yellow haha. Here's mine.

I'm very fair skinned too. Although I tan a few days a month, for a handful of months out of the year, I'm still much lighter than all of my friends and family who tan very easily. Anyways-right now especially I'm white as a ghost! But I bought my dress last week, Ivory and BEAUTIFUL. I don't feel washed out at all. Now I will tell you-I also tried on blush dresses (and even a light peach color) and they both looked gorgeous on my skin as well. So I would say- try on one or a couple of each and see what looks best on YOU, since pale or not, we're still all very different. Smiley smile

I'm very pale and went with white1 I dont have a picture but my dress came in and im going to try it on tomorrow so I can post a picture then! I think it depends more on your skin undertones rather than how pale you are Smiley smile

I am very pale with peachy undertones and "ivory over light gold" and "ivory over champagne" ended up being the most flattering colors I tried. Just plain ivory would have worked fine, but (IMO) looked kind of blah on me compared to the gowns with a little bit of a hue to them.

Pale here - I went with a light gold with ivory lace over it. You'll find something you love!

Kelsey that dress is absolutely stunning on you.

S&P- that picture is a perfect case for MORE make up and a strong lip- you look amazing and it's great that you can actually see your lips.

I am fair- not pale- (I wear MAC NC25 or 30 and some form of "nude" in other foundations depending on the season-) and I just skipped the whole white dress entirely and went with a black gown.

But I wore some white/off white gowns and they looked reasonably on me. Actual true white or diamond white- so not my jam.

Pale af over here and I love my true white against my dyed pretending to have dark hair. Which is longer and darker even now. (this was from when I bought it a year ago)

    Definitely don't do true

White, but I'm very pale as is mh FSIL who got married two years ago and she did/I'm

Doing ivory. Mine is from Justin Alexander and it is a nice color. Still gives the idea of a white wedding dress without being stark and unflattering.

    Edit: formatting, spelling.

It looks messed up to me but I have a concussion so forgive me

@Abegail I have that problem, too. Add actually liking my freckles and not wanting them covered, and actual foundation is my enemy.

I'm with @Elphaba. My dress isn't white, ivory and blush wouldn't have worked on me either. I think a lot is going to depend on your undertones.

I am very fair skinned and was worried that white would wash me out. I never wear white! The dress I found was champagne with blush and ivory underlays. I still think I look very pale in it but am hoping that if I get even a little bit of a tan over the summer I'll be ok!
