Calling all the romantics!! 💗

Hey everyone! Let’s talk wedding style!! If you are planning on doing a romantic wedding style with decorations, elements of the ceremony or reception, lots of flowers, or just anything romantic in general please share. Bonus points if you have inspiration photos! Are you doing going full on romantic style or just doing some things added in here and there? For my wedding we are doing a Disney Christmas theme and I feel like the elements we have added Disney wise really add to the romantic wedding style. We will have several Disney elements depicting the happily ever after type theme. We also will have a huge amount of lighting due to the wedding being in December. (Tea lights, fairy lights, light up centerpieces and aisle way ect) I personally feel like lighting adds to that super romantic feel of things. Here are some pictures 😃

Omg so cute! I screenshotted that photo castle collage! I am doing romantic themed so lots of christmas lights, color scheme is burgundy and blush with lots of greenery, bark, white and some navy. Some florals and our venue is a vintage backyard feeling spot! Here are some inspiration pics, my dress detail (with cathedral lace trim veil) and our venue!

Love the romantic feel of Disney and the inspiration photos! Even though we had a micro wedding last year on a very limited budget, my inspiration was vintage romantic. We got married on the upper outside plaza of the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. That was last minute because all the water features at the super romantic park where we were supposed to get married had been shut off because of a water main break. We had no decorations at the ceremony, but we had the Potomac on the side, Georgetown in the distance and the Kennedy Center.

We had our rings in a little handmade wooden box inscribed with “Fur immer und ewig,” in German because I’m of German decent. (It means forever and ever). My husband wore his grandfathers’ Italian gold pocket watch. (My husband is Italian). We had our programs printed on hand fans (a DIY), and we had rice paper parasols in ivory or pink for guests because we were outside in Washington DC in August. Never pleasant. We tried to carry the romantic theme through to our invitations.

I wore an Essence of Australia dress that was described as vintage romantic and it really was. My husband had ordered a customer-made porcelain rose from an Italian porcelain company for me to wear on our wedding day. It matched my dress perfectly! My daughters carried lavender. Our reception was in a tiny Italian bistro that wasn’t opened to the public during the time of our reception. The back wall was glass and opened up to a lovely patio area with lounge seating and some tables positioned by greenery.

Inside we we had fairy lights, and baby’s breath in mason jars on each table. We had favors of pink and silver Hershey’s kisses in miniature mason jars. Our brunch was all homemade by the bistro’s chef and included breakfast pizzas like one with blackberries and goat cheese, small Italian sandwiches, frittatas with Italian sausage, Arugula salad and fruit salad. We had pitchers of Mimosas and everyone had champagne. Instead of a wedding cake we had unlimited, fresh cannolis.

It was a quite informal low key wedding with just family and closest friends. We couldn’t have been happier with how things turned out.

Sorry this his is so long! It’s just fun to relive the memories!

Ahhhhhh these theme posts are my FAVORITE! We're having a vintage livebird theme. It all started with the invitations...I love the vintage vibe that goes so well with my venue!

We are also incorporating a ton of soft lighting for our December wedding! The ceremony space has lights hanging from the ceiling, we will have a lit backdrop with greens and tulle, lights lining the aisle, and it will be quite dark because the ceremony begins at 5pm. We are re-using the aisle decor as centerpieces and adding a TON of votive candles. The soft lighting instantly creates a romantic feel Smiley smile
