Campground wedding?

I was approached by someone who owns some land with a campground. She wants $200 for the pavilion space/surrounding area and I would get it all day. I could pretty much do whatever I want. Alcohol is fine. No extra fee. No certain time to end the reception. There are these adorable cabins there....

I could pretty much do whatever I want. Alcohol is fine. No extra fee. No certain time to end the reception.

There are these adorable cabins there. They are $30 a night to rent They have ac/heat. I was thinking about possibly renting the whole thing for the weekend. People who would want to stay could stay there.

I dont know about the ceremony yet. When I went to look at this I was only looking for a reception venue. It is too far from the garden for reception. There are walking trails here. I was thinking about going down there one day to see if there was some kind of opening I could use for a ceremony.

I am really thinking about doing it. I think it could be fun and there is a lot I could do to the place.

Has anyone ever been to a camp wedding?

**Yes my wedding is more laid back. There will only be about 60 people attending.

The other plus at the campground is if you have drinkers you dont have to worry about guest driving

This sounds so fun! My fiancé and I wanted to do something like this but couldn't find the right place. Good Luck! "Camp Out Weddings" on pinterest has a lot of really fun ideas for this set up

I went to a campground wedding a few years back. It was nice, I had fun. A few things though-

-Cake began to melt because there was no place to keep it

-There was no alcohol because it was a public park/campground, but I think you said that wouldn't be an issue

-Make sure you have good working A/V, here's would crap out ever now and then

-She was late and there was no where for her to really make an entrance from. She drove up and got out of the truck, she had to fix her veil, adjust her dress.... and all of the guests got to watch that, before she made her "grand entrance" down the aisle

-The restrooms were a walk... uphill... in the dark. But she did score a golf cart, so that was nice. And the kids enjoyed getting rides in between dancing Smiley smile

I have a friend who is attending a campground wedding but it is literally, pitch a tent and bring your own food, toilet paper etc.

I also used to work at a camp just outside of Big Bear called Wassewagon and they hold weddings all the time. But this is a camp and retreat place and is completely different than a camp ground wedding.

ETA: I have to saya I would love to be invited to a 'camp ground wedding' they look like a lot of fun. FH and I are also big campers so of course we would attend if invited to one!

My brother spent about 10 grand on Moms life celebration but that included steaks, seafood and Patron for the margaritas. You really could cut costs some

We used a KOA campground in Flagler Florida and they allowed alcohol but had to provide a million dollar insurance policy
