Can I get alterations to make my skirt fuller?

Breonna, on November 28, 2014 at 12:41 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 12

Is there anything a seamstress could do to make my skirt fuller?

I've already purchased the fullest slip I could find.

Ive been told by a consultant that horse hair netting can be added to make the skirt fuller, by seamstress--- but it may depend on you dress' style

Can you post a picture of the dress or at least describe it? That would help with what alterations could work or not.

Adding tulle to the dress might make it fuller. Or you could buy a hoop skirt to wear under.

Thanks for posting the picture. Yeah I think adding a hoop skirt would definitely make it fuller.

A good seamstress can do just about anything you ask. Talk to the alterations dept at the store, they can give you options.

You can ask. I've heard of double slip but with "stiff" tulle. Normal tulle is flimsy. Stiff tulle is dipped in a product to make it stiffer, which creates volume and shape.

Yes!! My seamstress is adding to my gown to make it fuller. I wanted to wear a hoop but they said they can make it look like I'm wearing a hoop, without actually wearing one. Lol
