Can i use my marriage certificate to hyphenate my first and middle name?

That is something to ask the marriage license office in the state you are marrying in.

I think this depends state by state. I know in Iowa you can use it as an opportunity to pretty easily change your full name to whatever you want.

I know that in California, you have to fill out the application online before you can pick up your license in person, and one of the categories allows you to change any or all portions of your name.

Depends on the state. In CA you can't touch your first or middle name which ticked me off because i've been wanting to change the spelling of my first name for 20 years
