Hello! So long story short, I’m going out of country in a few days and was advised not to wear my engagement ring (for safety purposes because you just never know) but, I feel so naked whenever I don’t wear it Smiley sad. I was wondering if it would be weird to wear just my wedding band in the meantime for my trip and then switch back to my engagement ring when I come back or just suck it up and not wear my ring overall Smiley sad.

    I'm going away this weekend to play compete in an athletic competition and will not be allowed to wear my engagement ring for safety reasons. FH doesn't want me to bring it for security reasons as well. For these reasons, I purchased a Qalo ring from our jeweler. Call some local independent jewelers to find out if they carry them.

    I just got back from a 2 week trip to Europe on Monday! I got just a plain band to wear. It took a day to get used to, but I didn't want a naked finger. In Europe, engagement rings are not very typical. Besides not wanting to be a target, I was afraid of misplacing. We were in the ocean and doing activities where I wouldn't wear and didn't want to leave in hotel room.

    I brought mine on our honeymoon, but I only wore it when we were at dinner. I have a birthstone ring (ruby) that I've had for many years that I wear sometimes when I'll be doing activities or on trips and I'm nervous about my ring (it isn't super flashy...simple setting but I have a large center stone).

    Get a silicone ring or some other inexpensive ring ( it should also appear inexpensive so you don’t get robbed over a fake).
