Can mother of bride dress wear white?

My mom was looking at a dress with a white bass too. It was similar in color to that one. I had no problem with it and thought it was very flattering and very much her style. I was a little worried about other people making it a big deal though. She ultimately went with a different dress, but I was voting for the whiteish one for a while.

I told my mom she could wear whatever she wanted, if she wanted to wear a white dress I wouldn’t care as long as she’s comfortable and happy ! That dress is beautiful

I feel as long as the bride isn’t wearing white then white is ok for your mom to wear. I’m wearing ivory as well and my mothers escorts are wearing white dresses and so is my flower girl

That is a beautiful dress for your mother to wear if you would not be uncomfortable with the color.

I think its a lovely dress but in my opinion I think its a little much for MOB compared to what your wedding dress might look like. Definitely do what you think is best. I feel like maybe you asked possibly because you might have some reservations about the dress. But if I'm wrong and you are 100% okay with it then tell her to go for it!

I love your Mom's dress. If you love it and she loves it, she should wear it.

I would definitely not be ok with that, as I think that could pass as a wedding dress. But if you're ok with it, then I guess that's all that matters.

It's up to you I think, whatever makes you happy! I'm 100% against anyone wearing white, so no mother will be in white at my wedding but that doesn't mean that is how it is at every wedding.

I think since it's silver and off white, it's not a big deal as long as you're ok with it. I'd feel weird if my mom were in a pure white or ivory dress though!
