Okay ladies, lately I've been practicing picture taking with the FH (so our wedding photos come out decent lol). I don't know WHAT it is... but the man can not genuinly smile for ANYTHING (in a pic). The USMC has trained him to look pissed off in every picture he takes, don't ask me why! So now I am trying to get him to at least crack a nice smile, it is beautiful when it is genuine... but whenever we take a picture its this forced half grimace/smile thing. Ugh! What do I do with him! Any of you ladies have trouble with your husbands in this department? The first photo was taken pre USMC...but the second picture is what I am getting these days lol!!

Just make sure your photographer gets as many candid photos as possible. If he doesn't feel posed, they will turn out great.

Aww lol I have the same problem! I tickle or say something naughty to him to make him laugh and then comes a nice smile. It's really the only way

Fh is in the National Guard, and he hates smiling. As you can see in my picture, he is not smiling. We were on the beach for heavens sake! lol. This is how he smiles during pictures =] lol

Its totally fake, although it looks alright, his true genuine smile is amazing! lol

Haha...it was a mild requirement for me that whoever i marry must be able to smile good for pics. ok..Im somewhat exagerating, but i dated a guy once who couldnt smikle for pics and almost dated another guy hwo just owuldnt smile for pics and so it became a huge turn off for me! haha

Gotta be a military thing. DH is ARMY and never smiles. At least you can get yours to take pictures. I have to use the sneak attack.

My FH is worried about me fake smileing. I just cant do it for the camera.. its really hard i am going to try and laugh in every picture. But this is funny how it is reversed.

@Future Mrs. Oregon- Love friends and was actually thinking about Chandler when I made this post! FH makes his face all the time!!

Don't worry about it. A good photographer will take candid, non-obtrusive shots and will get him looking natural when he does not suspect. Meanwhile, if you really want a genuine smile, may I suggest whispering something dirty in his ear?!
