Can someone help me with vistaprint RSVP postcards?

me22487, on March 27, 2011 at 4:11 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 7

I have tried to make my own Vistaprint RSVP postcards with absolutely no luck. I found a RSVP I like and that somewhat matches the invites we have but I cannot for the life of me turn them into a postcard! Can someone help walk me through the process or something? I've tried to make my own RSVP postcard through VP by starting from scratch or from choosing one that they already have but I have no idea how to manipulate the design to make it a postcard. I am not very creative or savvy! Help please.... and thank you!

Did you choose Postcards? They have standard postcards or oversized post cards, both with matching envelopes. Where are you on VP? Under the Business Section, go to Advertising and Marketing, Select Post Cards, Select Standard, then Browns Our Designs, Type the word Wedding, click Search. (don't choose wedding announcement because it narrows it down too much).

Yes I sure did choose postcards! I want just a standard size postcard-no envelope necessary (I want guests to be able to just fill it out and drop it in the mail to send back to us) I just selected postcards, standard size, and started browsing. When I type in wedding it pulls up save the dates and wedding advertisement postcards. I can't figure out how to customize it to be the RSVP on one side (ya know, with the name, whether they are attending, and how many will be attending) and then just have our return address on the other side.

I'm kind of challenged at this type of thing Smiley winking

Let me give you one warning about vistaprint postcards. Having a very tight budget we used them for our invitations. They come with a glossy finish and looked quite beautiful. Everyone loved them. However; the machines used in the post office tore up the edges horribly and scraped off the design and printing. Depending on where this happens on your RSVP cards you may not be able to read what was written.

Choose postcard. Easiest thing to do is not pick wedding just choose all styles. Browse through the designs till you find what you want. Then click advanced editing. Then change what you want. Unless you want to pay for them to print on the back. I would use an address label on the back. If you want to pay for it. Then after you finish the front and accept it they will give you an option for the back.

Thanks-I think I got it. Well I hope so because we ordered them!

I found a design that went with our invites (rec'd them free when with tux rentals) and then just inserted my own text with the typical RSVP wording and on the reverse side I put our names and address so all I have to do is put a stamp on them. I should be ok, right?

Great info to know Nikki-we went with the matte finish. I was able to get the postcards free and only pay the 11.99 for the matte finish plus the 6.53 for shipping. So it didn't cost extra to have our address printed on the back otherwise I would have definitely just done an address label!

No problem Hayley! I actually used your site to get the postcards free but couldn't find any codes or anything to get the matte finish or s&h free or anything.

I ordered 100 RSVP postcards as well as 100 reception cards yesterday-both were free, but I did 2 separate orders so each order cost me 18.52.... grand total of 37.04. I feel like I could have gotten them cheaper but I wasn't sure how!
