Can someone tell me what size the ring finger is from this picture?

This is the right hand, but left hand is very similar. I have other pictures of left hand if necessary. I cannot ask her and I cannot borrow rings from her and I cannot ask her friends.

Unfortunately no, we are long distance apart currently. Can you post a picture of your size 4 finger hand?

I actually used this online tool https://www.titaniumkay.com/how-to-find-out-ring-size.aspx

Using the attached picture, but the stupid thing gave me a size 6. No way she's a size 6.

The problem with selfies is that the phone is usually angled to get what we want into the picture. Maybe if she sends a bunch of selfies, you can find the best one where the phone is not angled.

It’s the profile pic that you see on my name, but I’d advise that it’s not really going to help determine size. How far away the photographer was from my hand, digital pixel size, and scale will make it impossible to compare to your future fiancée’s hand. I’d suggest you get a bigger size to be on the safe side and then have it resized later when she receives it.

Yeah, obviously you're right, but I'll have to figure out something. I'm thinking I'll get the diamond put into a really cheap setting and then after get it put in a nice setting with the correct size.

I did get several selfies, unfortunately this is the closest one where it's almost flat against the camera. If I account for the angle it at least suggests it's less than 6.

Really? Cuz my ring finger is a 5.5 and my shoe is a 7. A size 7 ring would be gone so fast because it slipped right off.

It's so hard to tell from a photo. I definitely would not go by the shoe size though, my shoe size is an 8 and my ring size is barely a 5 an 8 would have been massive on me and I know you can resize a ring but there is probably a limit to how much. I know you said you are long distanced so this probably won't be feasible for you but I know a few guys who tried on their partners ring and made a mark on their hand where the ring fit, the jeweler was able to measure that point on the guys finger to get a size, amazingly both times this was done the engagement ring fit perfectly! You can get temporary ring guards too so if its a bit big she can still wear it without risk of it falling off before you can get it resized.

I hope we get the final answer on the ring size that works. And hopefully the answer was "yes."

Umm. how did you do this picture? And how come the paper could not be wrapped around the ring finger?

It would be a 3 or 4, the larger based on the knuckle if assumed to be a perfect circle.

I asked her to hold up a tape measure to measure her long alien fingers that I was teasing her about. She has no clue this was for a ring measurement.

Thanks, I calculate it to be about 4 to 4.5. Should it be sized for the knuckle size or the part below which is smaller? I assume you want it for the lower part since the knuckle size might make it loose below that. Maybe I should go with 4 1/4 and then resize if necessary?

I'm hoping to ask on our upcoming vacation during a sunset ideally.

I suppose it's better to err on the side of being a little too big?

You can get the jeweler to make a more specific recommendation from those measurements. I think the 4 would probably be close. i think the jeweler can increase the size or fit to a smaller finger -- as long as nothing is too drastic.

I tried that. But I'm buying from online. They haven't been that helpful.
