can you drink the water at sandals?

Is it safe to drink the water at a sandals resort? I know they have bottled water but what about ice? Should I avoid frozen drinks and order drinks without ice?

    It might depend which Sandals...

My resort (not Sandals) claimed the water on resort at restaurants was safe to drink, and the ice/frozen drinks were fine, but not to drink tap water. I still got really sick. However, that could have been the water....or the food, travelling, alcohol, fruits in drinks (coconut and pineapple can have a, uh, laxative effect), or other factors. But, I have IBS so am very sensitive to things normal people arent - my husband had no issues.

I would stick to bottled water as much as you can but if you aren't sensitive you'll prob be okay if resort says so!

I haven't been to Sandals, but I've been to resorts in Negril, Jamaica and Cozumel, Mexico and had no problems with the frozen drinks making me sick. I never even thought about whether those would be safe to drink, though. Which one are you going to?

I wasn't at a Sandals, but I stayed at a different resort in Ocho Rios and had no problems with frozen drinks or even the water served at meals. I have a sensitive stomach, also, but was still good!

I was in Sandals St Lucia and drank the water they poured for me, but I don't know if it was filtered. I didn't drink it out of the tap nor did I use ice.

I just went to Mexico. Had multiple drinks with ice. Didn't think anything of it and came back just fine. We didn't drink tap water or brush our teeth with the water, but I used it to wash dishes and rinse fruits and veggies.

When it comes to larger resorts, especially one like Sandals, they most always have their own filtration systems on site. Just be careful of it when you go off resort.

My friend went to the Sandals Grande Riveria for her honeymoon in January and had no issues with drinking the water or ice. I just got back from Sandals Whitehouse and didn't have any issues either. Enjoy!

Jamaica has a good water filtration system (I go every year and have never had any issues). Have a blast! Jamaica is amazing, mon.
